Opt out of clan wars

Type opt into search bar to find poll to vote on this option

Opting out would cause the clan war system to be broken even further than it already is. I'm afraid I'd have to vote no to this idea. I think it would have pretty horrible unintended consequences in terms of matchups.

Clan wars is not broken just bc you lose does not mean Supercell system does not work! You get match to whoever is closest to your , defensive strength and attack strength, however bc of all the different clans this means that it's not always possible to match clans up person to person, and other times you just have to take a dive! Plus most of the people I have heard from all think the sAme way and their for would most likely be matched up together seems like that would even things out to me!

This, I am sorry, this simply does not work and is not a logical statement. I lead an International clan of all age groups (like many many clans). We alternate war times so everyone from India/England/USA/Egypt/Malaysia...wherever can have a shot at being there in the beginning. I have kids in school in Egypt...Adults at work in India, basically people have a life. They simply cannot be on all the time before a war starts. It is insulting to tell me my Long term members can't be bothered to leave/come back. What this is actually is a royal pain is the A**. Because now I have to track and manage this ♥♥♥♥. They have to leave sometimes 6-8 hours early. And when you have TWO full clans of 50 like I do, what happens when one of your elders accepts a new person accidentally and cuts the long term member out? It sucks. Just happened AGAIN today to us.

There is simply no getting around that BOOTING your members is a poor and extremely LAME work around to a system fail. It is NOT the same or even remotely close to clicking a button and staying in the clan and maintaining your spot, your donation counts, elder status, etc. I should not have to do this because someone is on vacation or in school during exams, or having a medical emergency or whatever the reason is that is none of my or your business. I have already lost many long term members to this (1 to 1 1/2 years with us), and they did not go anywhere. They just quit the game. That is lost income potential for SC. It makes NO sense to not have this.

The OP is a bit excitable but the reasoning stands. I have yet to see a single cogent argument against the Opt in/out button.

Thank you! I say the same thing time and again and they keep coming back with it's not fair war would be unbalanced and stuff like that! I get rude comments posted on my thread from people who say they don't see nothing wrong with kicking people! And saying that everyone who likes this idea is lazy! Well I like this option because I have a wife and kid at home! I don't want to kick people simply because they have lives!! And in the long run the game will survive longer with adults, than only catering to kids because let's face it, kids eventually do grow up!!

That is actually a really great idea! I have to go to camp every month, so this would be great so I do not get kicked out.

On a side note i farm nonstop even during battle day. Clan wars hasnt slowed me down one bit. If you're doing it right you should be able to have enough elixer to build your war armies, donate war troops and still have all five builders going nonstop. Just work on your farming techniques.

You can't just get randomly pulled into a war, both clans must choose to search for a match to be matched.

How can you farm non-stop if you are building base crushing armies?

We already run wars on an opt in, opt out basis.
Lots of clans do.

This would just give us some UI for it.

The point is this.
This idea has been submitted many times and most if not all posters of these threads believe that an opt-out button will resolve their issue of having clan members not being active in a war.

What all posters seem to forget and don't understand is IF you press the war button THERE IS a popup saying READY TO GO TO WAR? before you can click the search button. If you click the search button you agree that your clan is ready.
Then all arguments to have opt-out button is about members not being ready to perform in war.

Well, guess what? That is simply your bad! You as (co)leader took the responsibility to take you clan and all your members into a war to find out they weren't ready! So, who created the issue in the first place by stating your clan was ready without checking!

But what the heck, let Supercell fix your issue with an opt-out button.

You know what? As long as this is an option to be active/inactive in a clan, I couldn't care less!
I actually kinda hope Supercell implements this asap, not because I like it or agree with it, but only for the sake of getting all these threads finally cleared up.

I like the idea of an opt out. There are times (such as being busy in RL) when you can't make a war here or there. But, otherwise you enjoy your clan and do wars. Why should wars have to be compulsory for every member all the time?

CoC is a game. All those against this seem to basically take the stance that CoC takes priority over everything else.
