Thoughts - The New Valkyrie

Okay, just curious who has given her a spin?

I've tried...

GoWiWiVa

Valks+Wiz - Jump spell and without

Valk/Healer/Dragon

Valk + 4 Healer + 4 Freeze Spells and 1 Rage

Valk + Witches + Healer


So far I am not super impressed though there are things that are promising

In GoWi variations having 10 of her along for the core is still a strong bet, but hasn't significantly changed.


Using her in mass with golems isn't terribly effective because she out paces the golems. I think the same is probably true for witches (she tends to be in front of the skeleton horde)


So just curious of the impressions so far



They still need to lower her cost and training time IMO.

EDIT: I didn't think to add a haven't used her option so I was short 1 option.

I voted she is tearing things up because I have found good combos for her, though not as much as I'd hoped.

Lol not really sure, but I haven't even tried the valk out :p

You couldn't not like the new one better. There should only be 2 options to this poll. It does splash damage now and didn't before so why wouldn't you be favoring the valkarie

where is the option for the "I've never used valks before"

Not completely true. In Wite's new vid, I saw a Valkyrie get killed before it attacked, because it had to run further to get in between

Yeah, my only defensive win over 3,400 was when the guy used 8 Valks. They sprinted ahead of Golems / Witches / Wizards straight into my base and got fried by my Wizards.

I am yet to see an affective use of them yet and too chicken to experiment myself.

It asked about your thoughts on the new valkyrie, not if you ised them before or not.:p

I think the new AI needs some tweaks. I haven't used them much, but I have a decent example of something that probably shouldn't happen. On one of my attacks, 2 valks got a bit detached from the rest of my troops and were over between mortar and a cannon. They were taking some fire, but were still able to get off their attacks, and managed to destroy the mortar around the same time one of them died. Instead of staying in the same place and taking out the cannon, the second valk positioned herself between the cannon and a wall (there were no other buildings around), despite the fact that my wbs had broken a hole in the wall a few spaces away. This exposed her to heavier fire and she died before getting off an attack, and suggests that the AI still needs some tweaks.

I chose th9 and yes she's tearing it up.

TH 9, I used valkyries in Clan War after update. Well, they did tear things, a combination of valkyries-giants-wizards is the cheapest I can make for it. With new Jump spell, it's so easy to caught an unwary base off-guard. Perhaps the fact no one yet make anti-valkyrie base was also a factor.

Thing is, it required nearly 3 hours to make such army, while hogs I need only 30 minutes and balloonions 45 minutes. With the amount of time and cost, I could make a mass dragons or golem-based army which gave similar result. So, meh. Valkyries now are viable option, yet not really that impressive. If you're low on dark elixir, just go with the more traditional mass dragons.
