Why is everybody complaining about the update so much?

dude i love the new update. It made pushing so much easier. i have level 1 hogs so it doesnt affect me. before update i couldnt pass 2600, now im at 2900.

That's an extreme example, but they literally cut the power of the BK in half.
Some people spent thousands of dollars on their heroes.

Too bad your sig says your highest push is 2596, would you really not have updated it if you beat it by over 300 cups?

maybe because the update was just recently? and i jumped 300 trophies since the UPDATE since? Makes sense why i havent updated the signature? You can look my clan up if you're so quick to judge.

Yeah, I understand that, but the money was spent anyways...meaning it is never coming back to them, so don't cry now that you can't have it back to spend on something else.

Players under th8 somewhat suffer, due to the lack of DPS on their only hero, the barb king. Barb king DPS were reduced significantly, and to compensate for it, they beefed the HP. Which is terrible. Heroes are supposedly high and mighty, now they are just long living trucks. It's too bad. Level 5 barb king is not even an exciting addition anymore, hence their abilities. Nerfed the king's rage ability. I don't want to sound too hasty but, our heroes our are not very strong, anymore...

Heroes are zeroes now.
Not being rude. Just angry on the update.

This is a strategy game and i think if you are just using the same strategy everytime, it will be very boring. Now with the update, a lot of new strategy comes up :D. And anyway, though the heroes get reduced damage and hp, they now can heal themselves

I love the new update :) it's like the forum resists change or something. Really some of these guys (the same ones complaining about hogs being op) cried when they raised the price 5 DE.

To answer the OP:

People are complaining about the update because they need an excuse to slag on Supercell. They also would rather complain then actually trying the update out and posting constructive criticism.

They just don't have the patience or rational to actually be constructive or adaptable.

May i ask what strategies(troops, spells, boost?) did you use to get to 2900. I'm currently pushing so i would appreciate any help. Thanks :)

I think it's the extent of the change compared to the level of effort people put in to get the heroes. To get lvl 40 heroes you have to grind DE continuously for 6 solid months or spend a lot of $ to speed it up. The reason people did this was to get the OP'ness that they were and dominate on offense.

Then you look at the extent to which they were nerfed it's pretty brutal the higher your level. BK was by far the worst.

the lvl 40 BK was set all the way back to essentially be a lvl 17 BK and the lvl 20 was set back to a lvl 1 BK (approximating). If you only have lvl 5 or 10 heroes then it wasn't much of a nerf at all and based on the level of effort put into your heroes it's really not a big deal. However, if you had lvl 40 heroes it's a really big deal.

Sure, players can adapt and still be successful but people have every right to be upset with the changes.

To the OP, if you had spent thousands of dollars or spent 6 months grinding out heroes I can guarantee you that you'd be upset.

As for the changes making pushing "easier". Heroes were a non issue on defense prior to the update because 2 or 3 witches could take out a pair of lvl 40's as easy as a pair of lvl 10's. So, heroes being centralized and unlurable by definition makes them harder on D. Then you combine that with the mega nurfing on the offensive side, they do not last anywhere near as long on offense, so it's harder to raid higher end bases offensively.
Combine the two, it is most definitely harder to push cups with the changes.

Does that mean it's impossible to push cups? Of course not, we as players have and will adapt to come up with new strategies to push higher and higher, but to say it's easier post update is a little naive in my honest opinion.

Agree. I am in TH8 and sad about the low DPS of my lv 10 Bar King.

They are not really weakened. They become smarter in defending, queen and king now can heal themselves quite a lot of hitpoints, queen now also got additional damage boost while activating the ability, etc.

I completely with you on defense because they don't get lured out they're stronger at protecting the core. However, I respectfully disagree on the offensive side.

The AQ did get a slight dps buff down low and a massive dps buff across the board during her ability, but she also took a near 50% reduction in HP with very little healing from ability.
The BK was destroyed across the board and even the ability buff is significantly lower than the previous. I don't account for the extra barbs because they get instantly vaporized in the core of any high level TH10.

To tell the truth I didn't understand at first why people were angry since I didn't have high level hero but now that I look at the stat is perfectly understandable.

It feel like a bait and switch tactic. SC introduce hero and said hey look at this massive OP troop you can get it if you grind for 6 month+ or spend $$$ on gems.

Now that people have been grinding for months or spend $$$ on gems they switch the Barb King for something weak

Level 1 P.E.K.K.A DPS: 240 Hitpoint:2800

BK Lvl 21 BK DPS:178 HP:2785
BK lvl 36 BK DPS:239 Hp:4034

So you need to gind the hero up to lvl 21 to get the same HP as a lvl1 PEKKA and grind up to Lvl 36 to get the same DPS as a level 1 PEKKA

Lvl 5 PEKKA DPS 380 Hitpoint 4500
Lvl40 BK DPS 259 HP:4435

Cumulative upgrade time 227d 12h for BK Lv40
50d for lvl5 PEKKA.


Gem cost for Elixir only 24 mils elixir cumulative cost 7400 gems for PEKKA
Gem cost for Dark Elixir 3,752,500 DE cumulative cost 106 406 gems for lvl 40 BK

Also a barrack take 45 minute for a PEKKA the hero sleep for 3 hours.

After spending all this time to upgrade Hero you get something weaker than a PEKKA which take much less time and effort.

Maybe you hit that high in trophies because you upgraded your th, and considering you already have lvl 5 minions and lvl 6 loons and lvl 5 upgrading to 6 archer queen. On defense side, you have 2 lvl 3 xbows and all 4 wizard towers(even the new one) lvl 7, and 2 of your mortars upgrading to lvl 7. I was mislead that you were a th 8 by your sig. Do you even update it monthly?
