FAQ: Etiquette - Free 12hr Shield via unprotected TH

I can't understand why people call it a "free" shield when in fact it is a trade of trophies + resource for the shield.
The person giving the shield stand to gain trophies, he/she did not do it for free either.

People dropping trophies on you, OTOH, can be called free.
You gain trophies (whether you like it or not) without losing anything or giving up anything.

Haha, I had this happen to me last night. A guy was nice enough to give me a shield with 4 archers the night before. So I wanted to break my shield before bed so I hit revnege and my only intention was to return the favor and give him a shield.

To my surprise there was a tesla by his TH. So I took took about 180k gold and about 90k elixir before I had to stop at 39%. I could have kept going and taken it all but I didn't need the loot so I would rather take most of his loot and leave him without a shield.

Is it against your etiquette if I revenge someone who gives me a free shield and take all the resources?

For me, Yes. If someone does me a favor then I would hurt them.
However if someone takes out my TH then attacks and fails... then they feel the wrath of my mighty army. :D

I don't care much about etiquette. I attack anyone with 200k + resources.

If 1k resources is a lot to you at TH5+ then you need to rethink your understanding if the game.

Same. If I'm in raid mode , and they're stocked, I'm coming for all those resources. I don't care if I got a free shield from it. And if they aren't stocked , I'll visit again when they're are stocked

As I mentioned in my post, I don't leave my TH outside.
But it is not just 1K resources, you also lose trophies.

And when the league system comes into effect, those trophies may mean something.

Whatever trophies are lost can be made up extremely quick. With 1 mediocre attaxk
