On Attack: Its much harder now, I lost two raids because of Archer Queen. Now I only attack bases with no Heroes when I am using Balloonions. All out Dragon raid is the best. I don't use GoWiWi or GoWiPe because at most I only get 1 star with them as I don't have high level Heroes. I could easily get a star with Balloonions so no point wasting expensive army.
On Defense: I WON several raids: two Balloonions and one GoWiWi. So big thumbs up from me, I gain more trophies on defense than attack.
what level are your loons? i use loonion / hogs & the heroes update hasn't affected either strategy in the slightest..
the AQ is so weak my lvl 5 mins have a field day with her. so my loon strategy has basically stayed the same, as BK won't attack my troops obviously and the AQ is too weak to really worry about. and if she gets pesky just rage some mins.. poof she is gone :)
EDIT: to be slightly more on topic (sorry haha), the only aspect that has changed for me is..
1) Hogs -> will skip any base with too many spaces for teslas/giant bombs, probably would've attacked some or most of these in the past.. but with the added damage it's too risky now to be a viable attack option. so i guess you could say i am way more cautious as a hogger..

I'm the same, getting TH sniped in G1/C3
After the update I have found that more people just snipe my town hall than go for my entire base. I have put my barb king right in the center of my base, and I always put him on guard. Ever since the update I found it useless to use him on offense without his ability unlocked. I consider this a defensive win though since fewer people target my storages and thus run off with little loot.
Out of the last 17 defenses ( had th out before ), I have won 14, ranging from cryst 3 to 1 now currently in.
A lot of have been barch, a few loons, and 1 hog which failed terribly.
Definitely notice a difference.
I've been losing more defenses cause AQ ability is so OP!
With the archer queen, it's very hard to balloonion. Normally, I lure her to a corner and use one balloon as a distraction, and use minis to take her out, but now she's in the core, and with level 5 balloons and level 3 minis, I'm forced to bring a drag in clan castle to take her out.
