upgrading both xbows were a bad idea, tier one troops are steam rolling my base. Looking at the replays i can see xbows wouldve saved me from them stealing my de. It's like th8 all over again:mad:

DPS negates and normalizes firing speed of weapons, thus X-bow being continuous firing does not give any damage advantage.
That said, it has much higher coverage area, giving it more opportunities to attack, thus overall higher damage output despite its relative mediocre DPS.
Upgrade X-Bow to level 3 or mortar to level 7? I am currently farming
xbows centralized because of their coverage, if you put them on the corner, then you just waste it...
Yes and no.
Yes it does normalize firing speed of weapons, but the fact that it has almost no downtime between switching targets ensure that no shots are wasted.
A wasted mortar shot is a very long time where no damage is being done to the enemy. for example, a mortar shooting at a single archer that just gets into range, when a cannon takes out that archer right when the projectile JUST leaves the mortar's barrel.
That's a wasted high damage-per-shot projectile that was wasted by the mortar, but an xbow would just switch to a new target and start doing damage right away without wasting more than one or two rapid fire shots.
So this does show how the xbow's rapid-fire does provide a damage advantage to a slow-shot mortar, for example.
X-Bows are very powerful against heroes.. X-bows will take out the heroes in a very short time. This could be crucial in gowipe and gowiwi strategies!!
