Have you been using Valkyries lately when this update came out?
I haven't cause I'm a TH7 :P
Have you been using Valkyries lately when this update came out?
I haven't cause I'm a TH7 :P
used it once, didnt really see a difference tbh. training time is still too long for it to be viable.
Nope. A few reasons why:
1. Cost a lot
2. Take a long time to train
3. I haven't been trophy pushing since and didn't want to use it in war because of the reasons above :)
Doesn't the Whirlwind ability inspire you Clashers to use them? or at least try them depending on what level the Valkyries are.
Tried them for a couple of days. Sure their attack have been improved and as a unit they're better than before. Still when you consider the camp space, cost and training time it's not worth it. For 24 spaces you could have 2 witches, 6 wizards or 3 valkyries. It's a no brainer.
No i personally havent even though i have them maxxed out.
Seen videos of them and they look great but the main reasons why i dont use them often still stand:
1) Too expensive on DE
2) Far too long training time
3) Id say housing space is still a bit high per unit
I have used them a bit. Mine are maxed. I started mixing in 4 or 5 valks. I jump into the centre and the valks can be effective but when the queen and cc troops stand the other side of a wall you get shredded so I have reduced valks down to 1 and replaced them with wiz.
Even with the new whirlwind ability, Valkyrie is still useless due to its high cost, long training time & camp space.
To compensate the above, it require more hp about like a level 3 Pekka health. (3500)
Conclusion: Valkyrie still a redundant unit.
YEAH
I'm upgrading dark barracks to lvl3 For train valkirye
it's very better than old
sry for my bad english
The training time alone is enough to make them not worth it for attacks outside war, unless you gem. If you really care about your war attacks then you'll probably be willing to ignore the training time. The cost and space will limit the number you take, but for a gowiwi/gowipe/giants and wizards strategy I would decide to take a valk I try it out. The only strategies I use are hogs and drags so I haven't used a valk for either of those and the update isn't going to make me consider another strategy.
Valks take way to long to train and cost too much DE to be useful for farming, and are not consistent enough to use for trophy pushing.
Useless troop.
I would use them, but they are to fat and take up to much space. (why do they take more space them giants, they are physically smaller)
Honestly? No
Should I Clan War or Trophy Push again in the future I most certainly will, as she does sound more useful now.
But now I'm just grinding gold & dark elixir. Paying for Valks won't help me achieve that at the fastest possible rate.
the whirlwind ability is nothing but a farce
if SC thought that would be enough to get players to use her more...they're extremely naive
SC doesn't seem to be hearing us when we say the problem with the valk is cost, time and space + she looks ♥♥♥♥ even when levelled up ( yes aethestics is important ) + cant target air troops + excellent alternatives
she's good but really a complete waste of time when there are wizs and witches....not really the best idea from SC's thinktank...completely redundant as mentioned somewhere in the earlier posts
she just doesn't offer anything new to the table and her costs of training are just ludicrous
I'm a valk loyalist. They may take more time to train and cost more but I'm patient and select bases more carefully than I do when using other troops.. I just love to see them cut through the center of bases after wizards plow a road for them. giggle!
Who would want to use valks when you could use a maxxed hog for less than the cost of a lvl 1 valk.
They take too long to train.
Nope, they are still horrible. They take a long time to train, too much housing space, and take a ton of dark elixir.
Been usin her but that training time/cost is a huge issue.
If she train in 4-5 minutes and cost 120 DE I could easily use her to blitz with wizards.
The jump spell actuall seems less necessary now be because troops work together more in breaking walls. Rage is different, she owns with it but ends up sprinting ahead. Heal and healers are looking great but need to yes them out....
No, because the training time is still too slow. However, Chief Pat and Galadon have shown that Valks can be effective in high level gameplay.

they take awhile to train but if you'r gonna do something else for awhile and dont care about the training time then they are a great unit.
and ♥♥♥ are people talking about that hero's kill them? valks are the ULTIMATE cc troop and hero killers. they absolutely trash them. if anything they are a perfect unit to have run into the middle of a base and take out the hero's.
they do take to long to train though, no reason they cant be a 5 minute troop.
I haven't tried her and I don't plan to, she either needs better stats or reduced cost and training time for me to consider training up a few.
I haven't used them yet because it is really expensive
Valkyries are an option I've been playing with since the update.
I am a bit of a weird sort though: a TH8 who boycotts BARCH and BAM on principle. It's a lot hard to save up elixir at all without those; the only effective way I've seen is to save up some DE and use it quickly to raid for cheap (in terms of elixir) until I have enough. That said, you really can't make minions or level 2 hogs (anymore) the core of a raid, so valkyries are my main option.
Also, I don't session raid, and in crystal that means I have to risk getting attacked after each attack. By attacking with longer-training troops, I can make use of the shields I keep getting.
Nothing has changed. Like everyone else has said, they cost too much DE, take forever to train, and take up too much space.
They need to reduce training time to 4min and reduce housing to 6 spaces. When comparing valks to giants or hogs, their is no reason they should take 15min to produce. Both giants and hogs take 2min and perform better in their respective roles: either as a tank or a strategic dps tool.
And yes, I have tried many different combs trying to find a good fit for them, but results are extremely lackluster.
I still think there are better troop options and combos. Mine are one level from max. The cost, train time, housing space etc are all concerns.
Another big thing for me is the slow attack speed. They move to get into position, and by the time they get into position and start their whirlwind, the wizards I put behind them have already destroyed everything. As things get destroyed by ranged troops behind them, they keep trying to reposition, wasting time and getting rained down on by defenses in the process. They also tend to clump up and get hit by AOE. They still seem squishy despite their fairly high health too.
In other words, I wont be using them or upgrading them to max until they see more changes that make them viable.
Most people only have them at level 1 so no, very very few are using them, and just for fun, they are not practical at all. They take 8 spaces and 15 minutes to make, that is ridiculous. They barely got better. Halve the training time and lower to 5 spaces, then we're talking.
i use 4 valkyries + barch. they are really helpful to support my (low level) heroes.
there new AI is a mixed blessing
its functionally a huge attack buff but causes her to run into bases deep, making it problematic as her hp is just okay. It means using her with some combos is actually less effective
Using her within GoWi is still powerful and jump + valks is much more effective
Healers and heal with Valkyries at th9 and 8 are strong but at th10 I am unsure if it can work
