This update reminds me of another game....
If you guys do not play "Realm of the Mad God," it is a bullet H*ll MMO that is somewhat similar to League of Legends, Smite, etc.
There was an item in the game that was the most valuable ever that allowed you to get a second chance of life when you die, but it was removed from the game in late 2012 (please correct me if I am wrong), the Amulet of Resurrection (or known as Ammy) and the Wildshadow Forum, now on the Kabam.com forum, the game exploded with rage and angry threads that demanded to put them back in the game. The reason the Ammy was removed from the game is that there was massive duping of the item and just any noob had the ability to depy death in the way any person can get a lvl 40 Queen for free. I mean the price of downloading Clash and just getting through the tutorial.
Everyone and anyone wanted to get the Ammies back, but Kabam, the company that created the game, have kept them out for 2 years now. Many people have quit, but the oldest and best players have learned to adapt the the reality of a higher chance of losing a character with important items and hundreds of hours spent on it. I started playing in January 2013, so I was not able to witness the event (still the noobiest player ever).
Seven months later, the rage of the Ammy was still present, though another action Kabam did made the players even angrier, and that was Soulbounding all untiered items. Untiered Items were the best items in the game. Soulbounding is making an item untradeable. That would be similar to being unable to donate Witches, Golems, and other high tier troops to your clanmates. The players were outraged again, but as time passed, people realized that using just a couple good items stashed in your vaults to get the best items in the game was too easy, and most worked their hardest to get the items themselves, and thousands of players are good.
I highly suggest before anyone starts quitting, do not get yourself caught up in the rage in this forum. It is only the first week of the new update. Adapt as the RotMG players have. If you do not like it after a couple of weeks, then quit. Who masters an attack strategy after trying it for only a couple of times? Nobody. Who is going to remaster the Heroes offensively after 4 days of their release? Nobody.
Edit: Yay, 400th Post!
