Upgrading Troops Question

I'm recently upgraded to Th 8 before maxing out at Th 7. I'm now not sure which troops I should be focused on upgrading. I currently have upgraded my Arch to lvl 5 and soon have lvl 5 barbs has well, so farming hasn't been a problem. My problem is what should be upgrading to help with wars. I typically use hogs but that isn't seeming like the way to go with the new update. I haven't leveled up any of my DE troops yet though so will maybe leveling those up first be wise or should I focus on elixir troops? All my elixir troops are upgraded to lvl 4 except for my drag and healer which are lvl 1 still. I don't use giant-healer much since unlocking hogs and drags but should I maybe upgrade my healer and giants and use that now? or should I upgrade drag and start using the mass drag strategy? Would I just be better trying to pick up a new strat all together like GoWiPe or Balloonian? I know at some point I guess I will have to do all of these upgrades but I have no idea what to do right now so some help would be appreciated.

Sorry if this kinda long and rambles on a bit. Just confused on what to focus on upgrading.

Hogs are still incredibly usefull in clan wars. heros only patrol a small section of the base the hogs run out of their range quickly.

dragons are also very good.

and minions are imo the best farming troop but you'r talking clan wars. i would focus on drags hogs and wizards.

you could also gowipe so golems and pekkas to.

Alright. Thank you for advice.

Yeah. Hogs are still good for TH 8 and below.

TH 9 bases with no spaces inside are still yummy bases for hog strategy.

But fir your inquiry as to which to upgrade next, just prioritize what troops you usually use for raiding. If pretty maxed out, i go for giants and wizards.

Underline/Bold: Dayum, lvl 4 PEKKA :p.

Wizards get a MASSIVE DPS increase at lvl 5, they are very worth it if you use them. WB's are also a great choice for farming as being able to blow up lvl 5 walls and severely weaken lvl 6's (Leaves them with practically no HP) is a very handy thing for farming and CW, assuming you use a ground attack. Giants also get better (Obviously) at lvl 5, and are useful when paired with units such as wizards which can really dish out the damage. If DE is of no object, then possibly valks + healers/heal spell + wiz with some other support troops could be a winner. Since valks are stronger with lvl 5 giants AND they get the splash damage AND they have better health and DPS. Although sadly, they don't target defs.

Hogs, to me are a bit of a cop out option if you want to easily 3 star people.

Ok, I may stick with hogs and work on upgrading them then. Thanks for help.
