Censorship on global chat

We have a word in our contrey "♥♥♥hat" but is concerned because the middle part is ♥♥♥ (sorry to say it but ♥♥♥hat in our lang is really usefull)

They don't ban a$$ yet they ban fart?

Well Supercell considers those words swears. Coc censors words that are considered a swear word. Just put an accent on one of the letters and they don't become censored.

I agree, had a convo on global with this girl and we were just chatting about ourselves and she had trouble telling me she was a lesbian because of all the banned words. I second the idea about having a filter on global so the kids arent badly influenced by the sailors of CoC

off-topic but I completely forgot that gay could also mean happy... I remember kids on my bus used to sometimes say "I'm gay in a happy way!" for fun

Other various phrases that relate to normal CoC speak are censored.
In the settings you could make it so there is a filter switch.
Or maybe make it so there arent any filters when there are spaces unless its an actual cuss.

Censorship is never a good thing. It comes in many forms. Like closing threads!

It's all about the image that supercell gives (Can't have a parent see "bad" (lol) words in the game their child is playing and stop them from playing it (and spending money in it)).

In the end, censorship is always about controlling opinions, under the guise of being to protect the people being censored.

I always say that censorship itself is more vulgar than any word or opinion.

People dont like censorship though... If supercell wants to do it right they need to 'censor' every word so no one is ever offended.

The censor is just over the top. How many people use "dago" as a derogatory term? I didn't even know it was one until it got censored and I searched it up. Just cover the basics.
