Censorship on global chat

Hey Supercell and CoC community,
I have noticed that the words "gay" and "lesbian" are censored on the global chat. I completely understand why they are censored as people have a tendency to use them as derogatory terms. However, they are social terms and should be allowed to be used freely. I myself was reported and banned for using the term "gay" even though i meant it as a synonym for the word "happy." I would greatly appreciate it if those words were not censored.

If gay and lesbian are censored words then straight should be banned as well. Also, "homosexual" is censored as well as "drag queen".

Oh, also I'd like to add… Take out the censorship on "Hitler", "Jack the Ripper", and "Dahmer". Censoring historical figures? Really? You do realize that more people have the last name Dahmer than Jeffrey Dahmer, right? Why not ban Charles Manson? Hell, why not ban Osama Bin Laden or Rick Santorum while you're at it?

What they should do is have a chat filter on/off switch. Little kids can keep it on if they dont like seeing "bad" words.

At first I was convinced the OP was trolling but after thinking about it its actually pretty offensive that Supercell has banned these words. I guess SC's logic behind this decision is that people will use the words "gay" and "lesbian" in a derogatory manner which seems logical at first.

However, there's literally nothing at all offensive about these words unless they are used maliciously, but that's true of almost every word in the English language. I could say "you're all stupid heterosexuals" but would that be reason to ban the term "heterosexual" because I used it in an offensive way? Should we just ban all chat in global because some weirdo might be offended that I asked them to join my clan?

I can understand SC wanting to be cautious with global chat, but there is literally nothing offensive about these words, whats the deal?

Completely agree. Words only have the power you give them.
