Suggestion based on new update
1. Make defense seeking troops attack Heroes.
Reason: heroes is a part of the defense structure that do damage. It should be target. More details below.
2. Make troops target Heroes better- Reason above and below.
3. Either:
a. Make Heroes smarter and become defense-seeking and lower regenerate time
Reason: Weaker heroes, less hp >>> less regenerate time. Explanation are below.
or
b. Keep old stats for heroes on the offense and new stats for heroes on the defense
Reason: It's not worth to upgrade heroes at the moment.
People keep talking about hog raid, barbarian rages and balloon raid. What about Giant raids? Hog are fast, very fast. King could not keep up with hog speed. A few more hogs and it won't be much problem. Queen is a different story, but with the reduce damage, it's NOT that bad. Balloon? I really couldn't careless about the heroes when I use balloon, especially with the new reduce damage.
I hate this update. It affects me tremendously. Giant are slow. Archers and Barbarian are stupid and slow to detect Heroes. When the Giant get deeps in the enemy lines and the archer and barbarian is "walking" outside, well, battle is over. I tried to "clear" the trash before deploy giants, but it costs a lot of time and a good amount of troops. And when the troops get inside, mortars kill them in a second.
The bright side: I actually think the heroes should keep the radius like this on defense. Heroes should be smart, not stupid. They should not be lure out and be killed like dump asses. However, to be FAIR, troops should target Heroes much better and smarter. And giants, hogs, balloon should treats heroes as defense structure as well. Having two "moving defense structure" that do few hundreds damage/second, have few thousand HP and are not targeted by defense-seeking troops is purely stupid
In addition, I think the reason Heroes are lower in hit points and damage is because SC want to balance between defense and offense. Can you image the old powerful heroes standing in middle to the base and with all the flaws above? I totally agree with that one. However, I think Heroes are too costly to upgrade, and now my lv 10 Burger King is only as strong as lv 1 (lv 10: 143 dps, lv1 old: 150 dps). It's just... not fair, and not worth it. The "skills" will compensate for it, they said. I really don't think so. With only 1 time buff, the damage is 254 for 10 second. So, about 30 more than my old lv10 King, but only for 10 second. Would it worth it for you upgrade your King 9 lv to get 30 more damages in 10 second? Health recovery? Well, 620 is quite a bit, but thinking about the loosing HP, and especially the regenerating time. I was surprise that SC didn't reduce the regenerating time.
My fix: Either keep the new stats on defense only, and the old start for offense, or re-engineering the way Heroes attack on battle. Now you have two more heroes to defense effectively, so I don't think the old stats Heroes on offense will bother people. Or, we can re-engineering the whole thing. It comes back to my original point: Heroes should be smart, not stupid. And heroes, especially the Burger King, are so stupid. With high regenerating time, what do you often do with your heroes? Pick up the trash!!! Heroes should leading the battle to glory, not cleaning the trash. Before this update, people might argue that Heroes are too strong to be "defense-seeking". Well, now you have weaker heroes. How about that? It would make heroes much more useful than a cleaning services, and people would have more "reasons" to upgrade their heroes.
