League Based Upon Town Hall Level (Tournament)

Sure, sounds fine.

Actually, I don't really care about leagues. I think the matchmaking should completely eliminate being based on trophy count and be based on your town hall level. Forget all the penalties and decreased loot from raiding lower town halls, just do away with it altogether. Just no attacking anybody more than 2 town halls lower than you.
Really kind of cowardly of all these TH9+ guys coming down and looting TH5 and TH6......yeah, I said it. You want to be a big boy, then go play with the big boys..... :)

I agree with you completely, and originally I thought this out to replace the current league. However, there's no real way to remove the current league system without completely screwing the game up because it would remove certain trophy achievements and/or make them easier to obtain.

At least with this tournament idea, the current achievements and league can remain as is for looting purposes; my tournament would be optional to join and loot could be obtained weekly whenever the season ends. The fact gems are involved makes me believe most people would sign up, so there would be plenty of competition within each division. Furthermore, new tournament achievements could be implemented, which obviously gives more exp + gems.

Once again, I'm totally with you on attacking based on town hall level because people do drop divisions to farm people that stand no real chance defending against. Which is a great imbalance in the game that needs attention.

If you were to re-think your whole tournament idea this could be really easy.

Call it "Battle Ladder"

There is a button to join each Ladder for you to join, a ladder is based on your town hall so you cannot join a town hall level 3 tournament if you are town hall level 10.

Each tournament lasts three days.

A point system would have to be implemented, let's say you would get 1 point for each star you get on an attack, you get 1 point for each star you defend (if someone took 49% without a town hall destroyed you would get 3 points). Then just like the clan leaderboards at the end of every tournament the top three players would get a prize.

I'd say gems as the only prize. Elixir & Gold are both way to common to come by. (Wars & Farming)

I don't know, this just seems a simpler way than your suggestion as it confused a lot of people as well as myself.

I really don't understand what's so confusing, honestly. My suggestion is exactly like your idea except I'm using trophies rather than points.

Additionally, I'm not opposed to gem only rewards; however, with loot bonuses added, I believe it would encourage more attacks. Keep in mind that this tournament will not allow you to farm your enemies, so each attack will be an expense.

I like the idea executioner but I am a town hall 10 and would love to take part in this but I have never seen champion league. Nice ideas but I believe some of us would have issues with the must be "insert cup rank here" for the town hall level but again its a good idea and I would love to take part in it.

Perhaps this is what's causing all of the confusion? okay, the tournament that I suggest wouldn't base rank upon the amount of cups. The town hall will place you in a tournament with others that have the same exact town hall level as yourself. Your current league, which is based upon the amount of cups one has, will not adjust based upon the tournament placement. If you're a crystal league member, but a master tournament member, this is perfectly normal because these are separate events.

I think you made it more complicated with leagues. i would just say:

• Tournament will be held based on your town hall level, so if your level 5 you will only be able to attack level 5's. (all this league talk is not needed)
• picking your opponents ? i don't think that's possible there would be so many participants. IMO it would be better if its randomly searched.
• maybe there should be attack limits ? otherwise gemers will just dominate
• if there are attack limits then reward can be given if you achieve X stars and if you are rank top 10 you will get a big bonus. (top 10 isn't easy to achieve with so many players)

How ranking should work (Stars then damage %)
If 5 players have 30 stars, then the ranking would be sorted like:

1. 60 stars (77% average damage)
2. 60 stars (76% average damage)
3. 60 stars (74% average damage)
4. 60 stars (72% average damage)
5. 60 stars (70% average damage)

I will add this to the main topic later, I enjoyed your thoughts. Regarding your issue with the league ranks, I done this so the higher ranks receive larger rewards. Other than that, yes, we could eliminate that talk altogether.
