What is the reason why everybody neglects teslas?

Issue with "save them for last" is that most players do not plan their builder timing that well, as such they are left with these few scenarios

nice breakdown you have there, never knew that my teslas can kill some hells angels that fast. Even now, i still cant believe that math, but will pay more attention from now on.

for the OP, its the time it takes to upgrade one to max level. But its worth the wait. I am now putting a builder to start maxing out a brand new tesla.

When i was TH7 I didn't have enough walls to protect teslas so i placed them at the sides which were the most obvious for enemy attack and I put couple of spring traps in front of em.It worked great especially against giant attacks.
So yeah element of surprise could really turn battle around plus really good dps at higher lvl.
I think long build time is the main reason why people are not upgrading them.

i put spring traps in front of my teslas also, although im sometimes disappointed to see an archer set one off.

I feel like for the amount of time they take they have the lowest damage. So I am saving them for last. Just started my last Level 11 cannon and doing Level 10 archer towers. I may start telsas after that before I spend over 5 million a pop for level 11 archer towers.

Yeah, many people overestimate the xbow at times, so its good to make such comparison to show that even a maxed tesla at TH8 can be comparable to a level 3 xbow.

Oh, I completely agree that saving them for last isn't the way to go, just pointing out that that is what most people do. Teslas are absolute beasts when maxxed, and in fact I have been working on my own tesla's recently. :)
