Hey,
I am a TH7 with level 7 walls maxed out. I need to wait till TH8 to get new walls. I am just curious what people think as it pertains to upgrading walls. Is it worth upgrading to level 8, paying a half million per wall? or level 9, paying a million per wall?
What level wall do you guys think is worth the money? Discuss...

Definately get to 8. I think 9 is doable in the long run if you really want them (personally, I do). Level 10 is pretty much unrealistic to get unless you gem.
Don't let it alter your plan of upgrading defenses. I can easily dump 3mil on walls inbetween upgrades, especially if my next upgrade is an elixir one and I know ill farm the rest throughout the day.
lvl 6 to lvl 8, all take 2 lvl5 WBs to break through, so no difference there, just helps when ppl without WB's or when they attempt to get into the center, run into my pretty skull walls and get zapped by my WT
I used to upgrade my walls inbetween defense upgrades but now they cost 500k each piece so I delayed it a little , but I'm definetely going to go for the level 8 walls :p I don't think im gonna upgrade them to 9 though , maybe just one piece for show off :rolleyes:

I agree with Titoezz, getting them to lvl 9 is very beneficial, much more so then 6 -> 7 -> 8 :D

There is a wise-tradition of leaving one builder (assuming you have 4-5 builders) for wall upgrades, while your others upgrade the other stuff. This is more readily done at low TH8 to early TH9. But, as you get into the latter stages of TH9, and the upgrades tend to cost millions in gold... you find players who "excessively" dumped gold into black L8 walls, without enough gold for that next L11 arch tower, or max tesla, or max wizard tower, etc. And, having to raid, for that next building upgrade, with incomplete or partial wall upgrades. And, a wall pattern is only as strong as its weakest point.
From my perspective, it is better to invest gold into maximizing your defenses, unless you can absolutely ensure that dumping gold into walls will not crimp or hinder your regular process in maximizing your walls. Of course, L10>L9>L8>L7... the question and issue is to make sure that the dumping of gold into walls will not cause multiple builders sleep excessively later on.

my base has lv 7 and 8 wall, and for some important parts of the base I protect with lv 9 wall. lv 9 wall need 3 WBs to break through so try to get some pieces, also having lv 9 wall in your base makes attacker fear haha
