How many giant bombs does it now take to kill hogs (100% health)

LvL 3 bombs vs lvl 4 or 5 pigs?

It used to be two, but since the update, can 1 kill them?

the damage multiplier is 1.5


Though, 1 giant bomb and 3 little bombs (level 6) will now also do the trick

I haven't seen them in action yet, but I can do basic math:

Level 5 hog rider: 475 hit points

Giant bomb damage: 250

Bombs do x1.5 damage to hogs:

Result: 375 damage < 475 hit points.

Does anyone know if lvl6 bombs look different from the lvl5 ones? No biggy, just curious.

Level 1 giant bomb = 175 damage.
Bombs now deal 1.5x damage to hogs.
175x1.5 = 262.5
262.5x2 (double stacked bombs) = 525 HP.

Level 5 maxed hogs have 475 HP.

This basically means a th7 with double stacked bombs (deep in the base) can smash the level 5 hogs that you spent 150k dark elixir and 44 days of your lab upgrade time to upgrade.

Don't waste any dark elixir on upgrading hogs or even training them.

I'm not sure what the difference really is then.

Before the update:
1 GB would damage pigs enough to warrant heal spell
2 GB would kill pigs

After the update:
1 GB would damage pigs enough to warrant heal spell
2 GB would kill pigs

It affects in that Lvl 3 GB are now enough to completely kill hogs when placed in pairs unlike before where a heal spell was required.

Im a lvl 160 Hogger ..... 4200 cups reached with hogs in last 2 years... DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON HOGS one maxed bombs can take them all you. Don't upgrade hogs anymore

I've been doing hog runs since the update. The bombs aren't nearly the problem the unlureable heroes are. One bomb will drop a lvl5 hog pack about 75%, but the radius seems smaller, so two stacked bombs aren't going off at once, allowing time for a heal spell to recover the hogs. I may just have not tested it enough, but I don't think the tweak to bombs ruins hogging. I've been 3-starring mid-level th9 bases as before, it just takes more hogs, the heroes, the cc, and 4 heal spells to do it, whereas before it just took the hogs and 3 heal spells.
