I think this is the first suggestion that could actually work.
For clan wars, instead of attacking the other clans villages I have a different idea. This is an example. It starts with a clan elder or leader asking for a clan war. Each player in a clan can accept or decline this option on the chat. Say 23 out of the 33 people in this clan joined and the total trophy amount for the 23 people is 10,000. Then the server will find a clan also looking for a war with about the same number of people and trophies. This will then take the two clans to a battlefield. This field is about the size of two village fields and has a wall (lvl 1-10 depending on how high level clans r) running through the middle. Now as a clan, each member may release their troops at the very edge of the map so their army will be running towards each other and this wall in the middle for hand to hand combat. Each clans troops will be colored a different color and your own troops will be highlighted will a yellow circle under them. This battle will go to the death and at the end of it, the clan who survived will win trophies depending on how much each player in the clan contributed. So if a person in the winning clan had the most kills in his clan (barbarians would count as one kill, dragons as 20, etc) he would get a lot of trophies and those trophies would be taken away from the other losing clan. Yeah this idea probably has a bunch of flaws or whatever but what do u guys think? I think this would be awesome!
I made an account just so I could say that I back this idea, and if it were to be implemented I would play the game much longer. However, I have noticed that so far after 7 pages of support for this no admins have replied saying that this could be a viable option, or that they support it. That worries me, because I feel as if supercell is not actually very supportive of the community. Now I can see why Supercell may not want to make large changes to the game, because they are making about 1 million dollars a day on clash of the clans and hay day right now. From a business standpoint it would be unwise to do anything that lower the amount of money they make. However, I do not think adding actual clan wars would do that to a game titled Clash of CLANS. If the 7 pages of support for this thread are anything to go by then the general consensus in the community is that this is something that pretty much everyone wants. Now if you guys at Supercell consider this which I hope you do, but you don't consider this thread a large enough sample size, then I think it would be smart to start a public survey on the forums asking a larger sample of people for their opinions. I hardly think it would be a bad business move for supercell.
Great idea 007ich and I also liked all the ideas in the comments! I thought of a way to implement clan wars without changing the game to much,
You could start a clan war with a clan who has the same average town hall lvl and around the same amount of players, only the leader could start a clan war. The war would last 48 hours or when the clans make peace, which ever comes first. In a single sided war you would earn trofies at 25% of what you usually would get and 50% of resources. In a double sided war you would earn 60% of the trofies and 100% of the reasorce a you would usually get. Only the leader can start a war or request peace but elders can wage wars back and accept or decline peace offerings. You would get a seperate sheild for clan wars, 3 hours for 1 star and 6 hours for 3 star. During the clan war no one can join your clan. When you attack the opponents clan you will be matched with a random player. The winner of the war would be who EARNED the most trofies after the war and who ever one could get a prize.
Also to stop hoppers after joining a clan you will have to wait 12 hours before joining there next clan. So you could spend 12+ hours in the clan your in so when you leave u can join a different clan instantly or you could leave the clan before the 12 hours is up and wait the remaing time without a clan.
