I dont know if this follows supercells way. Cyclops originate from Greek mythology and COC is really more of the medieval era.
But just remember there are many things from COC that are mythological. The Witch and Wizard, Inferno Tower. Even Walls are from the Mythological times. Most things are Medieval, but there are a few Mythological things.

This is a great idea, but far too late in the game, if it took the place of the Valkyrie in which you need Dark Barracks lvl 3 to unlock, that would be better anyway, I think this is a great idea and may come in the next update!

I like the idea of a troop setting off traps even better than a spell that does that, but he seems a little OP make his triple damage from wiz tower and Teslas double damage, raise his health a tad, an insteed of disarming maybe he would set the traps off so they will deal damage to himself
But could he be bounced of by a spring trap? :confused:

Like the PEKKA, the Cyclops is too heavy for the Spring Trap. Even so, he wouldn't step on it, he reaches over one square and disarms it with his club.
I came up with a small weakness for him... What if he is affected by Traps he sets off while disarming a Trap? Like say, there is a row of bombs, he goes for one, but the rest go off after he disarms the one, dealing damage to him... What do you think? Would it be worthy for the Cyclops or not??
Let us be honest here the point of this troop is a novel idea however not very logical. Consider the housing space for example; no town hall 10 would want to waste 20 space and 400+ dark elixir for something that would only disarm traps. Secondly, once it has disarmed the trap it would take triple damage from a select group of towers automatically subtracts the likelihood of it being used even more. Lastly, the troop wouldn't last long even with 2100 health due to the Cyclopes having to disarm traps inside the base making it a target for a multitude of towers in which it would die in a matter of seconds. This troop is highly impractical for a town hall 10 attacker.
New title, same troop. I thought it would be easier to keep the name straightforward, so it is now New Dark Troop: The Cyclops!!!!! In case some peeps didn't know it was a troop.
I know we are all desperate for a NEW dark troop but I don't feel a trap searching Cyclops is it - however - the idea of a Cyclops has been running in my mind for quite sometime - my thought has been as a Leader of Giants - not a hero but as a dark troop - and as a leader of Giants - this Cyclops could have the ability that when it reaches the 1st wall it starts a localized jump spell for itself and all local giants - just as a barb king does for barbarians - the Cyclops would not summon giants nor would a player be able to decide when the jump would initialize but as the cyclops would increase in level the size of the circle and duration of the jump spell could increase.
Yes, the Cyclops is a popular name. In my thinking of him, he is portrayed as an idiot in Greek Mythology, so I put him to an easy task that his one eye 55555555555/20 vision is good for, hunting and disarming Traps.

I find it strange that your cyclops is supposed to destroy traps without a care but a trap (hidden tesla) is his weakness it just doesn't make sense?

It all originates from Mythology or Medieval times. Besides, if Clash was all original, there would be no Wizards, Witches, Barbarians, Archers or Dragons.
Sorry if that sounded rude. All I was saying is that games aren't always original, and ideas that are totally different from other games are fine. I did a research paper on patents.

Just curious. Why a cyclops as a trap hunter. It just doesn't make any sense to me. With one eye it would have bad depth perception. Making it partially blind in a way. Right? I mean they are brutes and are typically seem wreaking chaos. I don't see a cyclops scoping out traps. So I guess am just asking why is it a cyclops?

I like your idea but I think the cyclops should have lower hit points so it isn't too OP. Also could you add when you unlock the cyclops (what level of the dark barracks)?
He is unlocked at either Dark Barracks lvl 6 or 7, I don't know which. And, I will make his hit points 1100, OK?
I love the idea, but I think it should be unlocked at TH 9 and shouldn't take 3x damage from wizard towers and hidden teslas. That doesn't make sense.
He must successfully eat a goat upon successful trap disarmament to regain strength for the next trap. Ha!
I think this is a interesting idea. I think it shouldn't do damage to any buildings before it disarms all the traps first, though. Otherwise, it'll be too overpowered.

is someone really going to waste 20 of there housing spaces and 300 de just for something that disables traps?
this just doesnt really seem like an effective use of housing spaces or de.

Well, he is a tanky unit, so he can soak up a lot of damage while disarming traps. He can be used for distracting defences from other groups who are taking out other things.

For Dark Barracks troops. Naming one Celestial. Dark Angel all black with white hair. You guys can take it from there. You guys know what your doing;) please acknowledge this. It's yours to keep. So he disarms ALL traps? Including the seeking air mine, air bombs, and the hidden tesla? Bombs, spring traps, and giant bombs are no problem, but those as well? And the other holiday traps, if they can even be found?
He must be a golem then. 30 dps to deactivate traps, moves incredibly slow, but disarms traps. But a lot of HP to tank enough to find those traps. And a bad damage output, or a good 1, depending. (Lots of traps in many areas of the base, so he can deactivate the traps, and have less time to deal damage to the base [and be significantly weakened to the point of where he can't do much to the base, due to his HP being low from tanking])
Any more ideas for the Cyclops???
1. To overpowered while using hogs (they would take out the giant bombs)
2. Cant see bombs and cant target them
3. Telsa already has a favorite target

If I were attacking someone with my max hogs, why would I make a guy you takes out the trap? The Cyclops is 20 space, and cost what 350 dark+ what ever your hogs cost, that equals a lot of dark!! And, Supercell can Nerf the Cyclops. And Hascerfelf can make a NEW favorite target, he can make it different, its not like its set in stone!?!
The idea is not set in stone, it can be changed. Also, would you be willing to spend 10k DE for those troops?

Great idea I wud love something to find giants bombs before I put my hogs down but maybe like an xray spell that lasts 10 seconds n covers the whole map

How about he's weak to splash damage. So Mortars, Wizards Towers, and Valkyries? Sound good?
I think the Hit Points and Damage Per Second of both of our troop ideas are the same in a way. For mine it is 80 DPS and 800 HP and yours is 66 DPS and 1100 HP. Your troop has less DPS and more HP than my troop. That kinda evens it out and makes it the same in a way. Does that make any sense?
