Out of game chat for clan (what works best?)

I was considering making a Facebook group for my clan. It would serve as a way for members to PM each other and hopefully as a means of promotion for the clan.

Are there any more efficient ways I could go about creating this connection between my clan's members? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would recommend an app called Glassboard., it can be used cross platform..and you can restrict who can see it.

We use palringo, it's also a great app.
