New update won't kill farming

We've all seen the new pic of the trophy leagues and many people are already that this will kill farming, but it won't. Everyone is going to try to go up in trophies, everything will be relative, we're going to be seeing most TH 6-8 at over 1400 or even the 2000s, the TH9s are going want to go ever further up. Even if some TH6 or 7 wants to go up over 2000, they're still gonna get destroyed by high level defenses.

Either way the point is that everyone is going to want to go up in trophies, which means everything will stay relative to how it is now, and there will still be a wall between the lower TH levels and the higher The only way I can see this being bad for farmers is if half the people decide to trophy hunt and the other half doesn't, and the loot penalty still exists.

The entire reasoning behind farming is to max your base as quickly as possible without spending thousands of dollars. Other than staying within my farming range I don't care about trophies. If i have to go up say 500 trophies or more to farm then so be it. I will continue to farm and will continue to search for the best farming ranges and most efficient methods to quickly max my base no matter what SuperCell does in future updates.

This is my reasoning: The bonuses aren't that much until the top 2 leagues, which I most likely couldn't reach, not without sacrificing fun, at least. Let's say I say in my usual 1200-1400 farming range. I can still win easy battles for lots of loot, and have an extra 50k tacked onto that. Why bother trophy pushing into ranges where I'll get demolished when I can stay in my comfy current range with a minimal loss in "bonus" loot? It just doesn't make sense.

It honestly depends on what the player base does. This will definitely create an upward pressure on trophy counts.

and also a lot of people will try to raise their trophy making it the farming ranges go up. And if they go up its more likely that we will get in higher league thus getting even more loot if we go with the trend and follow people up. I wouldn't be surprised if Jorge Yao and other top players could reach 5000+ with us lower players boosting them.

Very much true, but I don't see myself going for trophies any more than I do now. Some people will choose to, but I just don't see the reasoning in pushing to 2000+ as a TH7 for a little extra loot. I could very well be wrong, but that's my speculation on what I'll be doing post-update.

There was this awesome mmorpg game called RS.They tried to get rid of the coolest thing that most of the players liked about it (PKing).Every step they took against pking hit em back with even more damage then what they thought they were fixing.Till the game collapsed completely.
I'm not sure if COC is as big as RS used to be but I'm sure I wouldn't want to see COC doing same mistake.
