Those of you that remember, mass drags were the #1 army comp in the game until air defense got buffed. Now that we cant lure heroes anymore, hogs are dead, balloonian, possibly gowipe?(unless you have maxed heroes). Which leaves us with mass drags. King won't touch them, Queen hardly a problem. What do you guys think will be the most used strategy now?
I wasn't here then but I would say it may be the Era Of The Dragon!

SuperCell are putting the top line troops back on top of the tree, where they belong.
Mass Dragons are going to be more attractive again; and don't discount a Golem. They can soak up a Heroes attention for other units to get in and kill them.

2 golems, 10 valks, 17 wizards, 14 wallbreakers, 14 archers (220 HS + 30 CC)

Idk anymore coc is ruining our heroes I remember luring heroes into a mass of archers and they die in a sec
If i were pushing it definitely appears drags are where it'll be at...at least until next update lol when i bet we get new level of AD :rolleyes: But it's such a drain on elix, to push seriously with them will definitely require elix gemming...
makes me glad that i started my lvl 3 dragon upgrade already :)
I'm already a fan of mass dragons in clan wars, it's expensive but it is the most fun to watch/do. Maybe we'll see a level 5 dragon before the year is up....maybe.
For a gowiwi attack to be succesful, it is important that they to right for the center. With unlurable heroes often placed there, they can actually help to get your troops in the right direction. With heroes having lower Hp and lower damage, who knows. Gowiwi might be even easier now. We'll find out once the update hits and people get used to the new heroes.
I'm gonna try 2 golems 14 wiz 15wb 13 valk with a heal 2 rage and a jump (th9 inc cc)
doing something along the lines of gowiwi but different to combat heros

Could try bringing the Witch/Jump strategy back. Only if the enemy has single fire IT's though.

I have seen many people with misconception that Rage spell helps dragons kill CC faster. Even enemies attacking in Clan wars drop rage as soon as their dragons encounter cc troops.
Or if you use loons in a skillful way, instead of just spamming all your loons and putting rage spells in front of them, loons are actually better than ever now :)

They need to stop nerfing armies and buffing everything else. Hogs were not overpowered, everything else lacked potential. They were the only strategy that could 100% if used correctly. Why can't we have more flexibility in choosing armies that have the same potential as hogs did?

I always use mass dragons with the new update I'm going to love it even more with dragons I use 2 or 3 dragons to clear the way of trash buildings and then send the rest to lock on a core defense and letting the cc troops lure me in even farther into the base and also the archer queen and now that the archer queen will stay put it will make my dragons go even farther into the base :)
Huh, so farming elixir (Too easy) for drags paid off
The new in attack for my clan is the "Valkrage"
We have been having success with
10 - 15 Valkyries
10 - 15 Wizards L5+
remainder archers L5+
2 jump spells
2 (3) rage spell (TH10, some members bring a freeze or heal spell instead of 3 rage)
and occassionally a member adds a Golem or PEKKA in there replacing a few valks and wiz
the mob of valks followed by wiz and all raged just mow through the heros in seconds (sometimes less than a second)
Usually good for 2 stars in Clan Wars, but 3 stars always seems just out of reach
