Dark Defendum - TH8 farming base

I am glad that it has been working well for you. I would discourage you from using Dark Defendum in wars though. It may not hold up against strong troops.

I would say, if you are being attacked by army that uses goblins (often) then u need to set up outer building like I have in the original farming version and if you are not being attacked by goblin based army you should keep them close to the walls

Better later than never... I had my old PC robbed a few weeks ago so now i´m trying to put all together.

In a few minutes i´ll post some new logs and a screenshot of my base!

PD: right now i´m almost maxed in my defenses but as you can see a month ago the people who stole my DE had to use strong armies and spells.

I don´t remember the circumstances of all the defenses but i´m always upgrading at least 3 defensive buildigns at the same time, for example the last defense against that RYU guy was without my 3 teslas.

Your base looks great Im willing to try it out.
Im in C3 at present want to push to Masters for the 5th builder.
Should I use the farming version?
I dont care about losing resources at present, just the trophies.

Im using Averns HDT trophy version but it always gets crushed by the mean TH 9ers even when there is only 100K loot inside.

I have maxed splashes.

Clan: samsher IGN: pranav
Any help will be appreciated.

My advice: if you´re a th8 put your th always outside, even for trophy push. Other way you´ll get smashed by th9 and 10 no matter what base you´re using.

I started using this base design a few days ago. It works well against ground attacks but I think it's not that good against air attacks for me when it's a Balloonion :(

8 TH snipes
3 Ground attacks: (37% by TH 9) (10% by TH 6 :p ) (85% by TH 9)
2 Air attacks: (100% by TH 9) (92% by TH 8)

IMO, it is a disputable theory really. having TH outside presents absolutely no risk to the attacker and the loot bonus will be motivating but if you don't have your TH exposed you may get thrashed.

But I would advice you to keep your TH exposed.

As a TH8, there is very little you can do to cover air attacks and even if you do, u will create a perfect ground for other farming config troops :(

Going to test out the trophy configratution, I'll post any logs next week or something, thank you.

My setup is pretty much the same. All my splash is maxed but I don't have as many Skull walls.
I'm currently in Gold 3 and when I am holding ~30k DE I am experiencing similar DE loss. (1-2k per attack)

Almost all of my DE loss has come from attacks from the North, they break through the first two walls and just heal or rage wizards that shoot over the 3rd wall to get my DE.

I think BSWeed's modification may strengthen defense from the North, I will try it out and get back to you.
