Dark Defendum - TH8 farming base

How this base works ?

Units with no favorite targets will go merry-go-round (often).

Giants are deployed in two channels, and each channel is capable of throwing upto 12 giants, while also taking hits from tesla and other splash damages.

Wall breakers will be wasted on chambers that encloses builders hut before making it through the core.

How attacks progress on this base ?

Case I : Attacker goes for DE only and does not care about gold/elixir

Advanced troops and proper strategy can break through any bases. I have myself taken 1-2 K DE from TH9-TH10 by creating pathways deep in the base. The dedicated DE farming strategy will not be able to save DE from any base. However, DE storage is covered by all splash damage buildings and it will not be easy penetrating through. I have not had such attacks yet

Case II : Attacker goes for gold/elixir and will take away some bonus DE

I have had only these attacks, they go for gold/elixir. In these cases, well executed attacks with no clan castle troops have walked away with 2/3rd of 1 resource, 1/3rd of other resource and DE remains untouched.


Resources
Usually I only get TH snipped and the times I get attacked they manage to take resources upto 1/3rd of what is available and very very very rarely make it to the DE.


Trophy Range
I have had lots of success upto Crystal III and early Crystal II, I haven't tested it beyond that.

Keep you castle filled with archers and wizards, they will come in really handy and I'll be very surprised if you loose resources and trophies with the trophy configuration.

When I looked at your base for the 1st time, I thought it was the famous "The tempest" base design but when looked carefully I realized its bit different. Nice base by the way!

Can you post a pic showing the Clan Castle radius? Also, can you post some battle logs, if any?

Gold storages arent in radius of Wizard tower, but seems nice.

hmm, yeah the lower buffer of both these bases have similar visual. Huge fan of tempest, I had been using orz's another base Shuriken ever since I got to TH8 and now thought of designing my own.

I designed it yesterday, all the attack I have had since yesterday are TH sniping. I will keep the logs section updated.

I don't see the farming in this base. All elixirs are easily accessible and all but 1 gold storage. Seems like a barch/bam basic army could take the majority of your storages. I also don't like the 2 mortars that are right next to each other. A couple of lightning spells knock out both of them.

Really ??? you made it so easy ?

but your analysis is far from reality here mate. I have had attacks with different troop combo's and all they manage to take is 1/3rd of the resource. I think that is pretty good farming considering the fact I hover around Gold III - Gold I. Level 5/6 troops massive giant-healer-wizard, BAM, BARCH. This base has seen it all and I would reckon it has 92% success record.

I don't think the mortars can be considered "right next to each other" and can be taken out with one lightning.
