I personally think spring traps are a bit over powered.

lvl1 10 troops,@th6 "yes thats a nurf"
lvl2 12 troops @th7 "yes still a nurf"
lvl3 14 troops @th8 "yes a nother nurf "
lvl4 16 troops @th9 "wo hoooo a buff"
lvl5 18 troops @th10 "extremely OP, might need a nurf"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- eventually
lvl6 20 troops @th11 "extremely OP, defenatly nurf"

Unit area... You mean if they're all together? And the time it takes to upgrade is too long...

This would force everyone to use air attacks all the time. SC doesn't want that and neither should you. Variety is fun.

Took 2 years for upgrading Spring traps but I called it.

There are tons of threads of ideas of how to upgrade springtraps going back for years. Being as it's one of the only components (builder's hut being the only one that springs to mind) that you can't upgrade, there have been so many ideas for upgrades that it has two bullets on the Frequently Requested Ideas sticky.

* Spring traps "launch" 15 spaces of troops OR stun for 2-3 seconds up to 30 spaces for hero/golem/pekka
