something fishy?

I' m relatively new to fighting in clans wars. The clan we were matched up against in our last war had several members had xps that seemed very low relative to their looted gold stats. One was a 51xp with 71 million in looted gold, another at 79xp/310 million and another at 44xp/45 million. I'm at 52xp/30 million in looted gold. Is there a logical explanation to how to use up that much in resources without gaining xp. Also several times during the war, I notice attacks on our members in the war map that end without any results recorded. Was something fishy going on? Thanks for any heip.

most probably, they are farmers... which only attacks the base and never destroys the TH nor wins... so no exp has gotten to them.

in clan war, there is something called ghosting. this has been a known issue and I suppose they are currently fixing it.

also in clan war, you can click the Attack button and End it within 30 seconds. as such, no war record has been logged. which is also i think can be exploited - which is also related with ghosting.

Nothing fishy about the exp level and loots gained. The logical explanation is they are more active in raiding.

Level 51 and GG of 71 million seems normal for an active farmer.

Upgrading walls does not give xp. If someone keep doing it, he/she will end up with high gold loot with relatively low level.

You have probably been donating a lot of troops, for instance, I was at level 107 at town hall 8, I have seen fully maxed th9s that are no more than level 90. I was in a donation clan and donating tons of troops to level up while fully maxing my base so donations have a huge influence on your level/xp. Look at friend in need achievement and see if they have donated less than you have.

What happened to all their gold then? What would I have to do to loot 40 million more in gold but keep my xp at 52. I would have to spend it all on upgrading walls. Doesn't donating troops gain xp too? That would also only cost elixir, not gold.

People upgrade walls for visual intimidation, which yields no exp. They are just more addicted and committed to raiding than you. You didn't do anything wrong.

As to what happened to their gold.....nexting. Some people refuse to attack unless they have a collector raid. They have no problem spending 100k to get a 250k/250k raid. They don't care that it results in lost gold to the system......
