[Tips & Tricks] Top Players' Attacking Strategies; feat. Jorge Yao

Foreword: Many high level Clash of Clans enthusiasts, such as Jorge Yao, shady, Borg Queen, and myself, have been actively testing various Attacking Strategies to offensively acquire victorious stars at extremely high trophy range, since the release of Clash of Clans. I will continuously update this guide as more strategies are discovered. Special thanks to everyone who contributed in these researches.

1. Design an Army
At high levels, many troop combinations are available at your disposal, depending on your creativity. Top players often switch up their attacking styles to confuse the enemies, rendering their anticipating defensive designs useless. Below are a few variations of their unit compositions.

08 x Dragon & 3 x Lightning Spell (3)
10 x Dragon & 3 x Lightning Spell (3)
11 x Dragon & 3 x Lightning Spell
11 x Dragon & 4 x Lightning Spell
12 x Dragon & 4 x Lightning Spell

Please note that the last option requires being in a top clan.

For the sake of credibility, we are going to be spotlighting the 2nd option in this guide, since it is often utilized by the Number 1 player, Jorge Yao. (1)

2. Making an Army
This is by far the hardest and most important step. First and foremost, make sure you have at least one Level 9 Barrack.

The build time for Dragons is 30 minutes each. Thus, if you have at least one Level 9 Barrack, it will take exactly 5 Hours & 30 Minutes to complete 11 Dragons. Personally, I only use 200 Army Camp capacity, ie. 10 Dragons, and have two Level 9 Barracks. Therefore, it only takes me 2 Hours & 30 Minutes to make my army.

3. Attack
Attack your enemies.

If you are going to learn something from this guide, please note that luring enemy CC troops to a desirable Defensive Structure (Air Defense in this case) before using Lightning Spells is an actual strategy.

Epic thread!

Who was the attacker in that video. He could've 3 starred him if he attacked the side that had the active air defence after he used the 3 lightning spells to take out the CC troops and the 1st Air defence. The dragons would've took out the Air defence on the left easily.
