Similar to how you can boost the production rate of collectors and barracks, you would be able to boost the laboratory with gems so that upgrades can finish faster. This would be especially helpful when upgrading high level troops.

just use gems to finish the upgrade.
But won't it be expensive? Having 10 gems to boost your troops upgrade for 2 hours will be neat and cheap.Quote:

Boost for the laboratory is very useful when the level of your troops are high. It takes forever to upgrade higher level troops. So supercell, try to consider this please.
