Clan problems

So I need help with one thing.

So we're a pretty new clan, Thunder & Wind, that is running quite well, with level 3+ troops, and if you come join, nothing is actually wrong. So then, I have created a Google+ community. Facebook has loads of spam, I'm not familiar with Glassboard, and why use Kik when you can use Hangouts from Google+ to achieve basically the same thing?
The problem, though, is that no one is joining it excpet for me, my real life friends in the clan, and this guy that I found in the forums. I need a way to get the others in. I need at least 90% of them in there, because they aren't the best at attacking (a few of my members lost both attacks, I need them to attack better in clan wars). I have sent a message to my clanmates AND I changed the description to redirect them there. Please help!

Any advice would help a LOT. Thanks
