So I am a TH8 using GoWiPe, I enjoy using it and I find that the results are great. I am not sure if my expectations are set low though :) . These screenshots are from my recent CW attack with GoWiPe. Some criticism and comments would be much appreciated. :D
Also their cc troops were a mix of wiz and archers. My cc troops were 6 wiz and an archer.

Good work but that's a pretty straight forward 3 star using lv 4 hogs and 3 lv 5 heals for a TH 8 attacker IMO.
The GoWiPe may be good practice for later although Pekkas aren't gonna seem as tough with the new tesla upgrades coming at higher levels.:D

But I do get what you are saying about hogs being an easy 3 star. GoWiPe is hard to get 3 stars with, but a consistent 2 star. And Thanks! I was aiming for a 2 star and I succeeded :).
I love GoWiPe myself. What I would have done differently than you: Since that base has no queen, I would have taken a lot less barbs and archers. The queen is the only thing you need to lure and kill when using GoWiPe. I would not bring a lit spell either. I would bring another rage instead because the cc troops do not need to be lured out, they stand no chance against pekka and wiz on rage. Just barge right in and watch the king and cc troops die so fast that you can barely see it. Use the healing spell when the wizards make it to the core and are under heavy fire. Also, I would have brought less wiz to make room for a 3rd pekka, and bring wizards in your own cc. Be sure to clear the outside deployment area so the pekkas will go into the base. thats easy to do with a few wiz and archers after dropping your first golem. Easy 3 star on that base. My troops are same lvl as yours and i just 3 stared a much bigger base with GoWiPe. Although I do have 220 troops and 4 spells. I can link you to the video if you want to see it.
Edit.. Just noticed that your barbs and archers were only 11 troop. Would be hard to take a lot less than that.
I would love you to link me a vid if you can. It would certainly help me to see someone else who is about my lvl using GoWiPe. With the CC troops, for some strats I would agree, no luring of CC troops and BK needed, but what if there is CC full of wiz? I think that would just wreck the golems and PEKKAs. But I'm not sure. I do use the heal like that because shortly after I began GoWiPe-ing I noticed that the wiz do die a lot to splash damage especially and especially in the core since there are defs all around. Also the lightning spell is handy if they have archers, since for PEKKAs, archers are a nightmare. Not sure if not luring CC would result in my troops dying to quick though...Quote:

Will32 basically covered the basis of GoWiPe.
I would like to emphasis the key to using the Pekkas correctly would be having Wizards trim the exterior buildings. If you do not do that then your Pekkas will attack the outer buildings meaning your raid will go sour.
I understand that. Normally I lure CC out and take care of it, then lure heroes to starting point of raid, then drop both PEKKA to take care of heroes and simultaneously drop the golems on each side. After I quickly deploy wiz to steer PEKKA to the centre. I do have to be precise when I am doing it though since if i miss with the wiz, the PEKKA go off to the side. Still not 100% sure of what to do when taking out heroes and/or CC.Quote:

Edit... Oh yeah, my troop comp is 2 Golem, 3 Pekka, 15 Wiz, 10 wall breakers, 5 barbs or archers. 3 rage, 1 heal. Cc with 7 Wiz and 2 archers.
The most critical thing is good deployment, not necessarily troop comp.
I haven't progressed to gowipe yet. But against that base you could have reasonably reliably 3 starred with mass drags too.
