ClashLegend's Guide to Masters: Town Hall 9
Hello Clashers/Forumers,
Just a little introduction. This is my guide on getting to masters league with an under upgraded town hall 9. This is how i got to masters, and I would love to give you all tips and tricks that I learned on my way up. If you already know about these, or have already reached masters than feel free to back out of this thread right now. I know that there are already many threads in this, but I felt like sharing..Hope you enjoy :D
What I would recommend having:
Level 6 barbs
Level 6 archers (although it could be done with 5, as I did)
Level 6 Balloons
Level 4 Minions (could Probably be done with level 3)
Level 4 Rage spell
Level 4 lightning (5 is recommended)
Level 5 Heroes (at the least)
Getting ready for the push:
While on a push, its vital to have enough resources to train your army. I farmed up about 3 million of each before i pushed. This allowed me to maintain enough dark elixir and elixir to continue pushing over the span of a week (it only took me 4 days, however). With the extra gold i had, i upgraded my walls- And with this, I was able to get 20 more skulls than I had before the push.
Barching to 2200:
A lot of the bases between 1800-2200 trophies have a lot of percentage of building on the outside- perfect for barching. The composition i used was:
90 barbarians
130 archers
4 lightning spells
This comp can be varied, of course, but that's just what i like to use.
Basics of barching/how to save a raid:
As many, if not everyone of you know, barching is where you drop a line of barbarians followed by a line of archers to shoot over the walls while the barbarians distract. This strategy is simple, yet effective- even a maxed base is barchable.
So, what do you do if you deployed all of your troops and are only at about 40%? Thats when your heroes and lightning spells come in. Archer queen alter, barbarian king alter, and builder huts can be destroyed using only one lightning spell. This can get you up to 6% if some of the buildings are close together or you can use one lightning spell for two buildings. So, 46%. What next? Thats when your heroes come in. Depending on if the cc troops came out, you have two options:
1: Deploy AQ and BK on one side of the base, barbarian king first and archer queen directly after
2: Deploy AQ and BK on different sides of the base.
If the cc troops are out, I would recommend dropping the barbarian king on one side of the base, and using his special ability, and then dropping the archer queen on the opposite side, to split up the clan troops. If there are no clan troops, then I would drop the barbarian king first, use his special ability, and then drop the archer queen behind him. If done right, this is an easy 50%.
Balloonian to Masters:
Balloons and minions are one of the strongest armies in the game, in my opinion. How you use them is very important, however; Ultimately, this is how you are going to be able to get to masters.
Basics of balloon/minion strategy:
There are two ways to use Balloonian: Drop all your loons on one side of the base, followed by all your minions, with rage spells placed when needed; or using your balloons to pick off archer towers, wizard towers, and air defenses, with minions behind to pick off the buildings unguarded by any defenses to get the 50%. If you are looking at a base with a lot of archer towers unguarded/close to the edge of walls, then typically that base is easy to get 50% on.
*Note* (Avoid multi-inferno towers next to the town hall, if you are going for the two star)
As long as you are winning attacks, then you are fine- I would practice using Balloonian in crystal 2-3 if you are new to the strategy.
Defense:
I was only raided four times, believe it or not, on my way up to masters. This was the base i used: Attachment 49307
(You do not have to use this base by any means, but this just worked well for me)
*Note- Anti hog bases are key on your way up, as mainly all attacks on your base will be by hog riders.
Conclusion:
As long as you are winning your attacks, you will be fine- I only logged on when my troops were done, raided, then went offline. Masters is quite easy if you know how to raid.
Thanks to my awesome clan, Hero's Nation, for supporting me and donating awesome troops to me on my journey to masters. Feedback on this guide is very much appreciated :D
