Is th 8 worth it, or should I go to th 9?

I LOVED th 7, it was a great offensive boost, I literally maxed out my entire base, lvl 7 walls and everything, 200 troops capacity was awesome... now im at th 8... there really isnt anything new in terms of offense, I mean, you cant even upgrade your army camps past that of a th 7. On the other hand, those 50 extra walls, new air defense, and all those new traps make wars and regular raiding against other well set up th 8s not worth the trouble. I've always maxed my base before moving up, but th 8 has just not been working out for me, is it worth going to th 9 early to get that offensive boost, or should I just sludge through th 8 hoping that I dont get raided again by another good th 9 farmer? Thx in advance for helpful advice!

I would stay and max everything out in TH 8. But it's totally dependent on you and your style. If the game is turning a bit tad, then I would suggest moving up. You actually don't have to max every single thing in TH 8, but you should go at least 70-80% before thinking of moving up.

You should max everything at th8. You don't want to be a premature th9:cool:

I stay only 5 week in th 8. Th 8 is the worst. You got crushed daily by th 9 guys and you just cant revenge them. I go th 9 as level 68.. lol. I havent got any trouble so far as th9. Just max those farming troop in th 8 and make sure you have a lot of elixir everyday in your storage.

Definitely max out your mortars and get all your most used troops leveled up. Definitely upgrade all cannons at least to lvl 9.

I just upgraded to TH9 yesterday after maxing everything (including walls) except valks and golems. I can already see a difference in the loot. TH7's aren't as attractive as they used to be. As my TH8 became better and better, I started to defend a lot of the TH9 attacks I was getting. In looking at an attackers base before I revenged them, I realized many of the were premature TH9's. I hardly had any trouble revenging them, and even lv3 dragons with lv5 rages will give some of the more maxed TH9's a run for their money. I also had success with loonion lv5 loons and lv4 minions. My point is, don't discount what TH8 has to offer. It's a lot easier as a TH8 in general to nuke TH7's then it is as a fresh TH9 trying to take down TH9's and some of the more maxed TH8's. Stay at TH8, upgrade as much as you can and enjoy easy loot you get from TH7's.

Th8 is one of the worst ths so I wouldn't max. The offensive abilities compared to defense of th7 is not that big where's both are increased pretty big going to th9. If your farming troops and are maxed along with camps and your good at batching for a bit I'd move up. Once you hit th9 you will wanna farm about 150 mil elixir as fast as possible hopefully within a month as maxed troops, camps and drills are insanely expensive.

Maxed th8s can't really defend their gold or de anyways. I spent a lot of time raiding in crystal leagues with loons and giant healers ect on the th9-10s but find picking on all the th8s in gold that have 225k+ gold or 1100 De faster way to farm and its not lime their skulls and high level xbows can prevent that so I dont see the benefit to staying. If you are able to do some marathon session occasionally even better boosted session than you will gain faster as a th9 from my experience.

I moved up with my king lev 8 and maybe half skulls, maxed can but archers 2 down. Splash was maxed. I'd focus on splash and offense than move up.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll stick with th 8 a while longer!
