Why is it when you upgrade your town hall loot is getting worse?

I have heard from many people in this forum that said " the next town hall , loot will be harder to get". When I upgraded town hall I think the loot is just getting better. I got stronger troop in next town hall so I can raid stronger guy. Stronger guy are logically richer than weak guy. I still dont understand why people say loot is getting worse in next town hall.

I guess mostly people say so that do not adapt their raiding style and trophy range to the new TH level and the different kind of opponents they need to raid on a new TH level.
But what do I know...

Because until your lab, camps and troop upgrades will be done you will still have to raid the same type of villages as before.
And you will have a loot penalty of 50% for a th -2 lvl's than yours and 10% for a th -1 lvl than yours.

You can either change your trophy range or just keep searching for a good village for farming.

It's one of the reasons why it is disadvantageous to upgrade one's TH level when the units and defense structures are not maxed out yet.

But it doesnt take too long to max those things. Once it is maxed, farming will be much easier and better.

Your available loot to take become less before you reach the cap. I hardly reach the cap because I am premmie and my upgrade cost is not expensive. For the loot penalty, why you afraid cant attack weaker guy while when after you upgrade town hall and max your army you can raid stronger guy.

I never max my town hall after town hall 5. I dont feel any disadvantageous.

This is true whether you max out or not. There is always a period of adjustment. You need to change your targets and your technique.

There's multiple things that you need to take into consideration every time you upgrade your Town Hall.

• The cost of new buildings
• The cost of new upgrades for old buildings
• The cost of new troop upgrades
• The available loot (due to loot penalty)
• The loot you hand out to the enemy (because you remove some of the loot penalty for higher TH level players)

When you take all of these into consideration, you'll understand that each new TH level actually makes loot harder to get AND keep.
