Ok, thank you Dahimi, but if I want to create something different? I mean totally different concept, different sections etc - is that all right? Did SC have to grant you any permission to use their artwork in your wiki?

No we didn't get permission and I don't know what the legality of it is. My guess is they could make an issue out of it if they wanted to, but the wiki is completely non profit and highly visible. It'd be a rather ♥♥♥♥ thing for sc to do. Also sc has promoted the wiki a few times on their Facebook page, so it would appear that they are ok with it.

There are also several other sites that have village builders and troop calculators using the art work.

At one time Supercell said they would put together some artwork for a fan site kit. As far as I know they have yet to do that though.

I was just looking for that post myself, I vaguely remember there being a link to email them about the fan kit. Couldn't find the post though :(

Well, you have Google ads there, so it's not entirely non-profit - someone is charging for them being clicked by thousands of people I can imagine, and SC could argue the popularity of your website is achieved using their intelectual property. There were cases like that on the web before, so I prefer to be cautious.

Thanks, I literally looked through all of Marikas posts and managed to miss that one! Bookmarked now so some day ill remember to email them.

A Spanish version of the existing Wikia would be great, but if you'd like to create your own version then go for it. I think it would be more helpful to everyone if it was just a Spanish version of the existing Wikia page, but I'll leave that up to you. It would probably make things easier and I'm sure there's someone out there that can help you translate if you have any questions.

As far as legal permission, there's no problem in using the stuff you can find on our website for now. As long as you are not charging for a service or serving ads then we are okay with you running a fan site for Clash.

In the near to mid-term we will have a Fan/Clan site kit available for those who want to create these sites. At that point we will request that all fan sites use the provided official art.
