[Nameless] An Original Anti-Hog TH9 Farming Base

I'll see what happens overnight and tomorrow I may tweak it, I haven't faced Hogs yet so I'm yet to see what to do. Also, I'll post a trophy versions and alternate versions that utilize different core designs to better protect against different attacks, such as BArch or Loonion.

I checked Predator's post again. what he says is: "note to make this work you need to path the hogs through the middle of the two bombs". Dunno if you make sure of that, with your design.

I see what you are saying with the spring traps, but the concern that I had, was that except for the double spring traps between the cannons in the bottom, there is a chance the others don't even go off. As they are not placed between two defenses, the Giants and hogs might just go in on the other side and not go out the other side. They might just start bashing the walls right in front of the spring trap instead . It you place them between defenses, you are pretty sure they will go off, in my experience.

I will keep you posted on any attacks. I have settled in crystal 3, around 2000 trophies. When I do get attacked, it is usually hogs. The other attacks are TH snipers. Looking forward to seeing this base in action. Thanks again for you post! :)

Okay, in attack 8, I got hit pretty hard but the double Giant Bombs managed to only work on about 2/3 of the Hogs that went through them. It was odd though, the attacker put a Healing Spells (most of the time) on the Wizard Towers as well as the gap so I'm guessing he (and other experienced attackers who know how to use Hogs will spot it quickly so I will definitely start testing and tweaking. Overall, I was pretty happy since I managed to kill the Hogs but then I had a ton of support troops and the King and Queen destroying everything else.

I see what you mean and it's totally true, I should work on the effectiveness, personally I like the placement of Spring Traps the best in V1. To try and lure out more attacks from the bottom to increase Spring Trap effectiveness I'll switch the Mortar and DE Storage in the core then I'll put the others in better locations. I'll post a picture of this soon, when I get around to it then I'll test it out and report back.

As always thanks for the help, I noticed in your base the Tesla areas are closed off on that side, I purposely left mine open to give another possible double Giant Bomb spot (although they probably wouldn't be too good there) it was just meant to keep the attacker guessing, it should work just as well for you, let me know how it goes. Cool man. ☺I have been online most day, and when I finally got attacked it was a th-snipe. I guess the 350k loot was not good enough for the attacker to let the big boys out. Either that or he was to scared by the base 😸. You are probably not interested in all the th-snipes, but that is all the action I got today. Will keep you posted if anything else happens.

Later today I will put up the trophy version and other versions with different cores for both farming and trophy bases.

Finally a proper attack. I have bad air defence and I know it, but they take forever to upgrade, so I have waited. But it still worked out ok I think. 62% is not bad. Specially since he had his level 38 (!) king along with him and my queen was sleeping. I am altso upgrading a bow tower and a couple of cannons atm. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ch1k443w1d...8-15-14-05.png He did not get to the dark eliksir, and he missed out on one eliksir container and two gold containers. (one small one that I have not upgraded. I guess I should upgrade it soon, to even the gold out)

New attack. Bows and minions. He used all his bows to take out the 2 airdefenses and 2 sjamantowers. Then he took out 2 eliksir containers with his minions.

Unfortunately the "minion bomb" did not take out the minions until they had taken out the container. So I moved both air bombs in front of the gold. With the "minion bomb" closest to the eliksir. This way the gold and eliksir is better protected from air troops.

4. Update: finally hogs! 34 hogs, 10 barbs, 8 bows, 8 shamans. 27% 1 eliksir storage only! :D


Btw. I made some more changes after the bow and minion guy took out two of my storages. This altso made it harder for people to lure out the clancastle. As mentioned earlier I moved the airbombs. This was to make them go off before the dragons and minions got to the storages.

I moved 2 Tesla's as well as well as the cannons. Moved the cannons out a bit.
This way the cannon is defending the air defence. Tesla is defending the cannon. And the air defence is farther away from the wall. It will be alot harder to take out the air defence now. The base is altso more symmetrical. As there is 4 spots the gigabytes and normal bombs can be. That is if anyone even thinks of that devastating combination. I moved the 2 bow towers closer to the shaman towers. Since there no longer is a Tesla in that area to lead the hogs along the path.

My base is perhaps getting more and more away from your design. I hope you don't feel that I am trying to take your thread. The main concept is all from you.

From the time the hogs were deployed until they were dead, was ca 20 seconds. hahaha. 1 half got in my superbomb (2 gigabombs and 2 normal bombs) , and the other half in my normal and double springtraps. But in theyr 20 second lifetime, they managed to clear out so that the shamans could take out 1 eliksir storage.

These bases are already mainstream bro, which makes this base not really 'original'
