DE Farming for near maxed Town Hall 7

So, I wanted to max my TH 7, including the Barb King. Now this was a problem because, let's be honest, nobody wants to give their precious DE to some needy TH7. So i came up with an army that can get in their and get some serious DE. It is not cheap, but it will often get you trophies and the gold and elixir to keep it going.

The where:
I have found that 1600 trophies is a good place to hover around when looking for DE. There are a lot of premie TH9s and 10s and plenty of 8s for you to target.

The target: look for a base that has an accessible DE storage, or my favorite, poor air defense placement. If the Air defense placement is bad, but the DE still appears to well protected, take the risk. It usually works.

The who: Note: all troops and spells maxed for TH7.

20 Barbs
15 Wizards
2 Dragons
2 Healers
8 Giants
6 Wall Breakers
2 Heal spells
1 Rage spell
And of course that barb king your working to upgrade

How to attack: Always aim for the side closest to the DE storage, or when possible, take out the air defenses.
I have found that going all in works out the best. Pick your drop zone, drop the barbs to check for traps, send in the giants and wall breakers. Once they are in, drop the wizards and drags and healers ASAP. Only use the potions when necessary, save yourself the elixir. The rage potions work best at the beginning when all your wizards and drags are close.

I hope this helps, With this strategy i can make easily 8-12k DE a day. Personal best is 1,954 from a single raid.

I could see that working. I still love Barch but that is a pretty good strategy. One thing though I feel like there should be a bit more giants since they are the only ones who can protect the wizards.

This army would take too long to train in my opinion. 15 Wizards is way too many to farm with. I would suggest BARCH or BAG for farming and since DE is usually deeper in bases, I would say queue up your Barracks like this:
Barrack 1: 2 WB's, Rest Barbs
Barrack 2: 2 WB's, Rest Archer
Barrack 3 & 4: 2 WB's, Rest Gobs

This worked for me when I was maxing out my king to level 5 at TH 7, maybe it will work for you too.

Nice guide but the army might take a bit too long to train though. Let me also share my method:

8 giant/8 wb/30 gob/40 barb/70 archer/BK/1 rage spell (only use it if necessary)

With four barracks, this army takes ~21 min to train. A lot longer than just barch but it allows you to get deeper into their storage. First, use barch to clear the cc troops, hero, and the surrounding buildings for a clear path to the DE storage. Then drop one giant, followed by the rest 7 giants, two wb, and a rage spell if necessary. Only deploy BK when you KNOW that he will go toward the center. Otherwise, its not worth it.

3 weeks into TH7, my BK is upgrading to lvl 4. cheers!

PS. When you are getting close to 12,000 DE, just boost your barracks and do a 2 hour push. Usually you get >5000 DE in 2h, and you will be able to updrage your BK. Also make sure that you have enough elixir bank before boosting your barracks.

Im currently farming at around 1500. I wouldn't attack for less than 400 DE. If you see a possible >1000 DE, definitely use your BK and a rage spell. Its takes some practice in terms of choosing bases and deploying troops.

I casually BARCHed unwell protected DE and used lightnings at 1450 while trophy pushing, unfortunately I'd always lose the battle if I went for it therefore I couldn't break past the 1500 mark :p

With maxed barracks it takes an hour unboosted

Oh and my king is already level 5. Gettin that last 4k was a problem because when i logged off even for a minute, a big ok bully came and took 1k
