Need a DE farming strategy

I've been using barbarians and archers against town hall 8's trying to get to a DE storage, what are the best farming strategies for Dark Elixir at town hall 8?

It can be any strategy as long as you don't use any DE.

Balloon and Minions:D

My balloons are only level 4 and minions are level one does this matter any? And what spells should I bring along?

Depends... I had no Elixir upgrades left by the end of my TH8 so converted 6m Elixir to 54k DE in 2 days with all Dragon Rage raids. Hit any pots 2k+ DE.

Put your DE storage in the center of your base, or Hardest possible place to reach. Use lightning spells on DE storages in gold 2 or up league, with atleast 1000 DE available as loot. you'll get around or over 500 DE in one raid depending on your lightning level.

Solid strategy, personally I'd use less barbs and archers and more gobs but that's your choice.
