All of my friends and most of my clan all ways say how they need loads more gems and wish there was an easier way to get them. But I have 700+ Gems, and 3 builders (Saving up for more, bought one not long ago). I've also seen lots of posts saying they want more gems. I never spend them on anything other than builders and I don't see why you would need to. I was wondering if I am the only one who does this?? :confused:
I never buy gem. Not even for builder. I got 4 builder from doing achievement
What TH level are you? Once you go higher, things start to take longer to finish. Or maybe you are just more patient than your friends.

just reach master league for my 4th builder and fixing to go to champ for fifth one

I had the same mentality going in but I'm a PS4 gamer and there's nothing out right now so I traded in my games and exchanged them for Google play gift cards for all 5 builders.
If there are no people to spend money on gems Clash of Clans wouldn't exist. So I don't mind spending 5 bucks a month (to boost barracks for farming) on a great game.
Most of my friends refuse to spend money on the game, but won't hesitate to buy a $60 round of drinks, or drop more than that betting horses or other sports. To each their own. Of course you don't need to spend money at all to progress in the game, but you can use gems to speed up your build times or boost barracks.
I've never bought gems but every once in a while I do spend some. Usually I have to spend some at night to finish an upgrade that was delayed due to the time bug.
primary account I use gems. even bought some once.
Alt account. I dont, gotta save those babies for builders. wont buy gems for an alt.
I'm new here and haven't spent anything yet, but I'll likely throw down $20-$50 on the game at some point. Considering what it costs to buy a console game these days you'll more than likely get more out of your $20 here than you would out of a $60 console game anyway.
As you advance in the game, you will find tons of upgrades costing 5 million gold plus. Unless you raid 30 times a day, it will take several days to amass this amount of gold including lots of log outs with 350k-400k available for looting. No matter how good you think your base is, logging out with 350k gold available several times a day is a very bad idea. I boost to safely get the last several million gold for upgrades.
I have 4 builders and 3600 gems but all I use them for is boosting my spell factory when I push with Loonion
I'd advise you to get your fifth builder, and use the remaining 1600 gems for that - still 160 boosts. One only costs ten gems.Quote:
