We are in complete agreement here. The real question I suppose is, are all of the 1/50 membership clans an actual problem that should be addressed? If the answer is yes then perhaps a level cap on who can create a clan makes sense. I don't think so, and it certainly shouldn't be as high as 80. In my opinion the answer is no. The 1/50 clans are an irritation when searching for a clan but they are not a problem that needs to be addressed.

If it's that much of a problem, they could make it so you can't make a clan with the same name as another clan. Easy. They might have to up the character limit on names just a tad bit though.

All current dupes would still exist, but they would with the OP's suggestion too.

Instead of making the requirements so high, either lower it or have so when you search for a clan that you've got the option to toggle order of clans by name and amount of players in the clan or even both of them as a toggle, where clans with the most players show up at the top.

We were all at that point when we just started. And if you want to find qw just go to top clans. It you can't find the clan you want to join they aren't creative enough to make a unique name.

Maybe it's better to remove clans with 1 player for more than 21 days or something.

Suggestion:
Clan Castle level 1 - ability to join clans
Clan Castle lever 2 - ability to join and create clans

Who cares about global chat? You think it's ever going to be something other than annoying?

Good luck trying to police that! What if another clan, copies mine, and then goes to the top 200, but I've never been? Or what if two clans with the same name "grow up" and both go to the top 200?

They've already allowed clans with the same name. That is a bell that can not be unrung.
