You'll get bored doing all walls. Someone will disagree, but I say upgrade.
I made the mistake of going to TH8 with some level 4 walls... DONT UPGRADE!
Upgrade...walls are just for looks, not much input defensive wise.
Don't listen to the guy above. When I was th8 I had maxed defenses and upgraded through all dark crystal and got 80 skulls before becoming bored out of my mind. I have no regrets of upgrading my town hall without full skulls. I say go for it!Quote:

Th9 is hard for the first few weeks as you have the same defence as a th8 but offer more loot BUT i only had purple walls and im 3 weeks in now and im crusing throud! (4 builders and lab constantly)
BUT I WOULD SUGGEST GETTING MAXED RESOURCES BEFORE GOING! HELPS A TON!
Definitely start the upgrade. If you have time, grind out those walls as much as possible during those 10 days you're waiting.
How is it boring lol?!? Isn't it the same thing as upgrading other buildings? Walls are the same as buildings, you save enough resources and you upgrade them. Am I missing something?? Upgrade those walls!
it depends. are you gonna max out your walls at TH9? if so get all black walls as a TH8. it'll help bc TH8 get more loot. but if you dont care about walls, i'd have them at Level 7 at the least.
