Navigating Friend Bar

Hello - is there anyway to speed up navigating through the friend list? Perhaps creating a favourite friends list or a scroll bar. My sister joined and she's languishing around 30 something mark. I have about 280 friends, starting from 113, it takes ages to go and visit her, unless she needs a plant watering. Also that you can only seem to flick along for one flick and then it pauses while it loads the pictures slows it down massively. It would be better if we could move along in one continuous movement - maybe a scroll bar or if we could type in a number and it would go there would be even better.
