I'm a parent of 2 young clashers, global and some clan descriptions really concern me. This game is 9 years plus, a children's playground. SC is failing to provide protection to the young players. See my previous post on racist clans, I logged an SC ticket to see if they would do anything, still waiting....

What is the answer?

Social policing is the only thing I can come up with, trusted players, not because they are good and have a high cup count but because SC trust them to help police the online community our 9 year olds and older children play in.

Random example, forum mods can remove offensive posts because they are mods, yet the same trusted people can not remove offensive messages or clans with illegal descriptions.....

(illegal in England where my child downloaded this game from)

Mute button only serves the issue for YOU, not for that 5 year old guy who doesn't even know what mute means, he would be just reading chat and learning bad things from it.

This game is for 9 year olds and over as stated by SC in the Apple App Store, under that age should be under parental supervision, SC state this is 9 plus yet fail to police it accordingly

Another Parent's Point of View:

Teach your children to make smart decisions, educate them, and guide them. You can't shelter them forever.

At some point, you have to trust that you've taught them well, and that they know how to deal with inappropriate posts/actions by others.

I agree that global is ridiculous, for all the same reasons listed, but we can't depend on others to do our job of parenting for us.

Then don't go on global chat then. I have only gone one global chat 3-4 times since i play this game.
