Crashing to the max

Ok so I have no clue why this has started but lately (starting around May 26,2014) my game has been lagging but since June 7 I have started crashing and now it's to the point I can't even play. I have tried everything suggested under the help section but nothing has worked. If you need information on my account. I am:

Level: 63
Town hall level: 8
Please oh please figure out what's wrong so I can continue to enjoy the game because lately I haven't even touched the app.

I am using a 5th gen iPod.

Most likely your internet,or you could have other apps running.It might help to clear the multitasking bar.
