Battle won = 3 stars, right?
A battle "victory" is based on whether you profited or not. If you don't care about resources and wanted trophies, got 1-3 stars, it's a victory. If you want to earn back what you payed and then some, and you succeed, but lose some trophies, it's a victory. All about perspective, you see...
Should be 1 star - otherwise it's pointless since 3 stars happens very rarely.
But - the whole thing is pointless if winning defense doesn't give you a bonus (http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...-to-collectors my proposal a week ago I posted, as example) or losing a defense from TH punishes you somehow. Otherwise everyone will be on shields all the time - no point not to attack an exposed TH...
(edit) On other hand... maybe you get these resources when you win a defense. It is technically winning a match - so why not? That would make the most sense.
Might make a few people no longer want to farm, I feel I would hang in crystal if this was the bonus case, instead of gold where I would be placed now
My guess is the bonus is pro-rated based on how many stars you get, just like trophies are now.

it doesn't matter if they are rewarding them or not - they are doing something for the community as a whole and this will bring life back to the game for TH8/TH9 players that are bored of farming low levels ;p well , heck you can never get bored. but now we have something to shoot for.

At first glance, assuming that the loot-bonuses are somewhat accurate, the step between gold (1400 cups) and crystal (2000 cups) is a bit steep for a 20/20/200 bonus. I move between 1600ish and 2100ish when I farm, because I find it enjoyable, but in terms of "easy loot" the 2000's are way more demanding and such a small bonus is not enough to offset that.
I really hope they give bonuses for defense as well, because if they don't we'll se hunting for unprotected town halls rather than resource storages - and that sounds boring. Clicking next until you find a town hall, drop 5 archers, win the bonus, rinse and repeat. Plus, if the bonus is given for defense you will encourage people to protect their town halls as well, since you would have a chance at winning something except for cups.
