Dear forumers,
as many of you know, spell making time with a lvl 1 spell factory only takes like 30m since it can only hold one spell. At lvl 5 it can hold 5 spells and it takes up to 3h to make spells.
I am a th 8 that barches with 3 spells. I find it crazy that my army takes 20m and my spells 1,5h.
So, I think it makes sense if the cooking time lowers with a small precentage for every spell factory level.
Is this dumb or is this crazy?

First of all, why are you barching with three spells? And I like the times right now. Additionally, if you lowered them people wouldn't pay large gem count to gem spells... You could always just use the boost more often too...
Yeah now boost can be done with 10 gems for 2 hrs, you can always boost for barch.
I find it crazy that youn use 3 spells to barch as a TH8.
Im a TH10 who farms in masters, sometimes I use one rage and in extreme case 2. Just as often I dont use any.
Sometime ago each spell took 2hrs to cook.
I think things are fairly well balanced as they are.
SC already shortend the time to make the spells by an hour orso.
Was maybe a few months or a year ago.

Yeah, and it's actually so much cheaper now they cost elixir instead of gold. Perhaps that made some too dependent on them (spells) ?
If u bother with duration of spell making u can use gem

Use less spells. Simple. Spells are powerful and should take time to make.
If you are farming using all your spells, you're farming inefficiently. If you're pushing using all your spells, pick easier targets.
There are no need for using 3 spells when barching. Especially at TH8. You don't have to use all spells. You only need to use 1 rage at a time when you see a weak/decent TH8 or any TH7 storage bases.

I am farming in Masters currently as a Th8
I never had allot of trouble with spells as a Th8 or 9 because I didn't need them to farm. As a Th10 I pretty much need to use 1 rage for insurance (my queen is currently hibernating). Having an additional spell available every 45 minutes would make a big difference to how often I considered doing a large raid.
To crack a Th10 base brimming with loot and high level defenses (lvl 3 infernos) I need all 5 spells and a huge force (such as dragons). To make those five spells takes over 3 hours. And I need those spells to farm so if I do a large scale raid I have to
1) Boost my spell factor (the fact it costs 10 gems and that scrubbery produces allot more means this really isn't to big a deal)
2) Loot for weaker targets and take the gamble that I can pull it off without at least 1 rage (I loon)
I think the spell factory is fine at Th9 and 8 but at Th10 we should really be able to make them slightly faster. If this means a second spell factory or having the spell cook time affected by the spell factory's level - I don't know.
But personally I think when you hit Th10 a second or faster way to make spells is really needed - it would really help people actually take a crack at those high level bases.
So? There were also no xbows or inferno towers. By the same logic I could say everyone should be happy with 256kbps Internet since 56k was once the maximum or you should be great full if you earn $3 per hour since that was once a lot of money.Quote:

I agree spell time is to long. So what he uses spells to Barch that's how he plays. I use a rage spell some times when I barch. But it's annoying when I trophy push and waiting for spells to finish up just for one raid
Use 10 gems. But anyways, why would you use 3 spells to Barch? 0-1 is good enough.
Try use less spells when barching. It is what it is.
BTW it is not a bad idea to rush your TH a little as opposed to what i used to agree since the game is more war oriented.

As a fairly recent TH9 (month or so), I can't help but agree that spell time should be reduced a little bit more. OP doing barching aside, it's clear that it's extremely difficult to touch the innards of a TH9-10 with xbows, ITs, and other high level defenses without the use of spells. Maybe you can reach 1 storage, but not take a significant portion of the total loot.
Sure you can go down lower and farm, and find "easy targets", but is that really the game is designed to be played?
I would prefer to see the spell time go down a little, making 4 or 5 spells not take forever to make. I think there would be just as many gems spent on boosting or finishing spells.
Also, it would allow more loot to change hands faster. That should satisfy some of the people who think that loot isn't good. Imo, I think this would benefit Supercell more because aggressive attacking and more competition would encourage people to spend more gems, not less.
Yes, its long, but theyre worth the wait. They make a bad raid good. And a good raid great :)
Also, they used to take a day, so 30 mins is nothing :rolleyes::rolleyes:

To me reducing the spell time so it would be more in line with the time to cook an army makes sense. Trophy pushing at master plus often requires 4-5 spells. then waiting 3.5 hours for spells to cook just makes it so the more successful you are at trophy pushing the less often you can attack. Makes the game less interesting and fun and makes it so you can play effectively far less the more successful you are.
I guess few remember when a single lightning was 12 hours, and a rage was 15 hours.

Given the amount of farming the game requires, a lot of players prefer session play. The game obviously caters to those guys by offering the barracks boosts, but there's still a LOT of waiting, even during session play, on spells. Also on armies if you don't run BArch or BAM.

And yes spells take too long. Why not increase the boost to 8x speed - the same for heroes. It is awful if you can have a nice usage of strong armies with only the spell factory boosted but if you want to boost troops as well (which makes especially when using lavaloonion or GoWiPe) then you are limited to 1 rage spell per attack. 2 hounds, 24 loons and 2 rage spells would be really nice in 50 minutes (or 12 minutes boosted).
Wish we had 2 spell factories. And we could queue up spells. Rage those loons!!!
Spells are powerful therefore they take along time... Bla bla bla.. Pekkas an gollems are also powerful and yet we can make minimum of 2 respectively at the same time. Its a part of the game I understand but could be tweaked a tad. I ate less food and it was cheaper when I was younger. If they kept spells cooking 4 a day or longer then this game would not have the fan base that it does now. So point is it doesn't matter what it used to be to make. Stop living in the past maybe?
I think spell factory boost should be 6x. You don't want people barching non stop with full spells so have to be careful in that regard. Would be very over powered.
I'm a town hall 8 and if I could use three spells with every barch I would simply because elixir means nothing to me.
The reason the age of the thread matters is because I'm pretty sure I've seen mods close threads after telling others to not resurrect old threads. If it wasn't something that had been stated not to do before, I wouldn't have bothered mentioning it.
