It would be a daily or per hour purchase), and would either cost a % of the total loot, or would scale with TH level. It would work something like this: TH9 player has 1 mil gold & elix and 10k dark elix; they are in between raids and will not be able to return to the game for 2 hours. Lets say that the available loot from their base is 100k gold & elix, and 300 dark elix. they can choose to insure one or all of their resources, say 10k each to insure gold and elix, and 50 de to insure dark elix for 2 hours. If they player is raided they do not receive the full amount back that was raided, but say 50% of the raided amount, so: This player pays 10k gold, 10k elix, and 50 dark elix to insure his stores. He returns to the game to see that he lost all 100k gold, 100k elix, and 50 de. His insurance paid off; he receives back from the "insurance company", 50k gold and elix, and 150 de... so instead of loosing 100k gold and elix and 50 de, after insurance costs, he only lost 60k gold and elix, and 200 de.
This would add another fun element to the game, but also help players maintain a bit more in control every time they exit the game.
