Hey everybody, I've been wondering whether or not you use Wall Breakers with BAM, I usually bring 8 along as I do with BArch but I'm wondering if that should change (bring more, less, none). Please vote on the poll and reply. Thanks for your help! :cool:

no, because the main reason to bam is to raid really, really quickly.
lets say you bring 8 wb with you, thats 4 mins more per atk, that means 2 atks less per hour.
This is because the BAM attack strategy focuses on the minions, which don't need wall breakers. I wouldn't focus on the barbarians' and archers' participation in battles except in the beginning to take out the exposed wizard towers.
I have never needed them. They take up space that i would rarely use and then take some time out of making my army when I do need to use them hurting how many attacks I can do.
I use about 10 wallbreakers to get to those storages that are 2 walls deep!
if you don't bring wall breakers, IMO, you might as well use barch. sure the minions might get you a bit more. and even if you use bam with wall breakers, it takes less than barch without them. wall breakers are important to any ground army, I find it stupid for anyone who doesn't use them, unless its hog riders, or you have jump spells
Never. When BAMing,
1. You can't penetrate far so I focus on external pumps/mines and TH sniping
2. Speed as WBs take too long
I used to, but now I prefer speed of raiding without worrying about how many wallbreakers I have. So I dont use wallbreakers anymore.
You are forgetting that barching is too slow. BAMing refills max troops MUCH faster.Quote:

I use WBS when barching or giant/healering. With BAM, the idea isn't to 3 star bases it's to grab the resources and move on while you have 5 or 6 barracks (depending on how many dark barracks you have up) working towards filling your army.
because 4 is probly only going to get you 1 layer deep. it is easy to get minions that far without them. if im bamming i never use WBs. if i find i REALLY need that extra penetration on a raid well thats when i drop a rage spell. though lately iv been using the jump spell more and more and kinda am starting to like it.
the strength of bam is the speed. 4 wbs is still 2 more minutes.

I bring 6 Wall Breakers.
The reason is because seeing a base with 200k+ gold I won't be able to snatch because I don't have Wall Breakers with me is painful. It doesn't slow down training time much, and you won't use them very often (due to collector raiding), but they're worth it when you come across the base with full storages that wouldn't be a possible target without them.

The beauty about BAM is the speed of it. Having to bother about wallbreakers would kill that concept.
Also I use it mainly for collector raids in the outer rings. I use spells to go to the second layer, if there is a large DE storage available.
The third layer I don't try normally.
I don't use wbs with my BAM raids because the reason to use BAM is that it is quick and cheap. To use wbs with it would slow down the speed of the raid and cost more
Thanks everybody! I decided to drop the WBs and I raided so much more often and consequently got plenty more loot (also due to reading coldfury's guide). Also, I noticed the 16 extra troops really helped in key situations where I needed a few barbs to distract and archers to shoot over the top for an extra collector or the 50%. Thanks agin everybody, if you have more ideas/reasons please continue to post them below, I'll make sure to read everything!:cool:
