Suggestions for mid-to-high level TH9 attacking TH10s in CW

Hi all, I apologize in advance if this is not the correct sub-forum. I am one of the higher ranked TH9s in my clan (WarFarm), and sometimes get matched with significantly higher lvl TH10 bases.

First things first - I am a Lvl 98 TH9 with max troops for my TH level aside from Valks (lvl 1, haven't even used once :x), Golem (lvl 3), and Witch. My heal and rage spells are maxed as well, I have 30 troop CC capacity, and Lvl 11 BK Lvl 10 AQ.

Aside from using mass drags, is there an army composition that will give me a chance at a 2 star? I've been skeptical about trying GoWiPe without Freeze, and I haven't tried hogging TH10s because my heals don't work against Infernos.

Am I doing something wrong? Should I switch up my hog approach (usually 4 heals), and throw in a Rage or two in order to take out Inferno Towers?

You could try using rage instead of heal for those IT's. Just a suggestion.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing else left to suggest. GoWiWi and GoWiPe are about the only other options. I myself am a maxed TH9, and I'm having the same issues as you. Sucks too, cause there's no way a th9 can 3 star a th10 with IT's on multiple. None that I've found at least (unless the th10 is severely underdeveloped of course).

Well, a th9 shouldn't be able to 3* a th10 first off. Second I can tell you that you'll need high level heroes (20+) and max golems and pekka to have a shot at 2 stars against a decent th10. Our clan is almost consistently matched up against th10 heavy clans for war and it's the same thing all the time. There just isn't anything else you can do. Focus on your heroes and get the witch and golem up, it's your only shot.

haha well it's nice to know that i'm not alone in this..

...and for the record, hogs get slaughtered by any decent placed IT, rage or no.

thanks! was kinda worried this was the case, but like i said, at least us TH9s are in the same boat :p



time to get on my DE grind...

You could try the Loon/minion combo. I've had lot's of success with it trophy pushing as well as in Clan Wars. I use 28 or 32 loons and then the rest minions with 4 rage spells.

against single ITs, multi ITs, or both? and do you get 2 or 1 star? thanks in advance :]
