Hi there. I am currently TH8 and reducing my trophies. Along the way, the loot bonus is horrendous. I am just wondering if when I get there, can I farm?

A few months later on my alt, my time was more sensitive but the same type of strategy worked well. TH5-7 went down there and the farming per hour was great. you can, or COULD I should say.. make over 1mill/hr. There were not HUGE loots (at least that I could get with my feeble troops) but a steady diet of 20k-80k with like 30 Archer or Gobs or fewer served me well and I could constantly raid for like 90-120 min sessions and rake it all in off easy unprotected collectors.. with the occasional NICE SCORE from a poorly designed TH with exposed storages or full higher leveled or even maxed pumps.
When I was TH8, (esp on main) I spent enough time down there to get my lab going and upgrade my Tier one farming troops Archers Barbs Giants WBs but the going was much rougher and fewer bases I could raid were down there, (loot penalty + more searching to cover army costs) however there were some other TH8s, and premie TH9s and TH10s down there... and once my lvl 5 troops were up I could get more from them..
on my alt I started there, but the leagues were going on so, after my farming armys were done (Archer/Gobs Giants etc..) I went up to the gold leagues and started 50%ing and climbing the ranks to get some league bonus loot and the Dark elixir. having the Drill is nice, but you really need to raid for Dark if you want to have anything of significance upgraded. (especially when its down for upgrades to lvl3) and its in the Gold and Crystal leagues, so for the sake of saving time fighting to keep my place down there I climbed and started farming in the Gold + leagues.
So, it USED to be profitable for the BEGINING of TH8, but with the leagues its easier to just go to the Gold + leagues since you wont be locked to your iDevise for hours on end fighting to keep your place down in the SUB. (I always hated that, logging off for a ♥♥♥♥ break or get a snack; and getting like 300 trophies dumped on me in a matter of 5 min was not fun) and you cant Raid and log off like you can in other leagues..
Do it for your Barch or maybe Giants but then head up and farm in the gold leagues the getting is just as good there, with less hassle.
Works better for sub TH7 w/ barrack boost. I suggest you stick to 1400+ range (im TH8 as well)
Yes, gold league is the way to go. I just went down there yesterday, in fact, and was only getting about 300k loot per hour, as you have to search a TON, way less than the 1 mil gold per hour in gold.
