How come lvl 1 and 2 hogs can 3 star a max th8?

How does this happen? I'm fully max th8 (cept walls) I just got 3 stared with 30 lvl2 hogs not lvl 4 or lvl 5 but lvl2!. Heck ive been 2-3 stared with lvl 1 hogs. I tried th8 anti hog base but then people use giants and drags, but still how come the hogs gotta be one of the strongest troops in the game? Why not valks or something else? Of course SC has gotta make them jump over walls why not its not like they arent that strong or anything (sarcasm). I was jw i already know th8s and 9s dont stand a chance against hogs till they get th10.

Hogs are weak aF. Blame the heal spell, if hogs are so OP then they should be able to 3 star a base without spells, but you never see that happen.

No Base is perfect. For example, if you use anti hogs base, you will be vulnerable to dragons attack (Just an example). For every bases there will be pros and cons. As to why level 1 hogs 2-3 starred you... I don't know, maybe your defenses are too close to each other?

It's because the heal spell is too powerful.

All you can do, is make adjustments to your base to make hog raids more difficult.

*Put King & CC as central as possible - they they cannot be easily lured.
*Put spring traps & bombs between defense buildings, so Hogs WILL cross over them.
*Never log off without a full CC and all traps armed.

Yeah maybe it is the heal spell didnt really think about that

Heal spell and hogs without infernos to rein them in is overpowered, an anti hog base will not stop a good hogger.

Indeed, but it at least makes a hogger think twice, if you can make your base 'look' tough for a hogger it may be enough to make them skip to find an easier one they can crush more efficiently.

Leave a couple of spots where a double giant bomb 'might' be can be enough to deter a hogger. I know I have been deterred seeing the possible gap before - and have some on my base now and very rarely see those crazy pigs attack now.

A Max TH8 has:
3 giant bombs doing 225 damage across a 3.5 radius

A level 1 hog has 270 hit points and a level 2 hog has 312.

What this means is that a single giant bomb on a max TH8 almost 1 shots a hog pack at full health. Unless they are already on a heal spell, hogs typically have some damage. Hoggers stagger heal spells and don't trigger until the pack is heavily damaged to maximize hog up time. Thus, 2 giant bombs always 1 shot a level 2 pack and near 1-shot or will 1 shot most hog packs given where the normally are in the % dmg taken realm

a TH 8 has little chance against a semi competent, even drunk hogger using 3 or 4+ lvl hogs. However, level 1 and 2 hogs are definetly in trouble against a max TH8. Go defend against even a low end GoWiWi or GoWiPe you'll miss being hogged by low end hogs!
