Th 8 strategy for around 1600-1800 trophies?

I'm th 8 and i have mostly all lvl 5 troops and i've been using the balloon minion strategy but I've been loosing to much elixer and i only have lvl 1 minions and i'm going to get them up but my barb king is only lvl 4 so i'm trying to get him up first. Since i'm trying to save dark E hog riders aren't a good strategy for me either. I like the giant healer strategy but i never know exactly how much giants to bring and when i use giants i often run out of time and don't get the loot. I also really like wizards and was using a bunch of them and a bunch of giants and was getting the oot and 2 starrng verytime but it cost around 150k-200k elixer every attack so i stopped after about 3 attacks. So i'm at a bit of a lose of what to do. Could anyone give me suggestions with exact troop numbers and at a reasonable cost i don't need o 3 star bases or anything i just want to get reasonable loot and 1 or 2 stars every time.

Barch! im currently at 1800+ . I still find some inactive bases. so barch will still be good :)

Barch with or without wall breakers

Not a strategy, just a tip for your base: put your clan castle where your laboratory is.

good idea thanks i used to have it where my dark e is but im saving my dark e so i had to take something out of the center.

Barch and Bam are my 2 favorites when I want to conserve elixer.

I'm going to be a TH 8 soon and never used Barch but does it really work well in the Gold Leagues (I will be farming if it matters) and I'm assuming you would do half arch and half barbs?

16 Giants, 16 wizards, 2 healers, 12 archers, 8 wall breakers.

yup 100 archers 100 barbs if you think you need wallbreakers u could bring 6-10

BAM- 80 barb 80 arch 20 min is the strategy I would reccommend. An alternative would be barch, but you can't really get many storage raids with this while minions can get to the second layer with the help from the barbs/archers.
